The Progspel is a live show hosted and aired by @Liddle-Rascal of The Hookah Clan. The show is live and (mostly) unscripted mixed sets of progressive played while showcasing a different craft beer. The rules are simple:

1. Grab some tracks
2. Grab some beer
3. Mix until you can't or the beer is gone

"To Beat Or Not To Beat" with Ziger [CHAPTER_June 18]

This is a 3 hour live set recorded at The Grand Factory in Lebanon last weekend. Starting in Melbourne, I had played 8 cities in 9 days and this was the last gig.

The Grand Factory is a fairly large but hidden away space at the top of an old bed making factory (pictured). 

The crowd, the venue and the city are amazing and it was the perfect ending to a week of no sleep.

Alrighty then. 015. What crazy Progspel this turned out to be. Funny thing about The Progspel... I never REALLY know what's going to happen. I pick out tracks, drop some hard earned cash over at the beatports, go pick out a new beer, think of cool & witty things to say on air, and then day of show mash it all together and see how it turns out. It's never quite the way I envision and honestly? It sounds an awful lot like a giant recipe for disaster...

We're lucky it wasn't this time. It just ended up a little darker and harder than I had originally intended. Enjoy ;)

The Progspel : Chapter 018

What a fun set this was! Getting close to 2 years and still going strong. There were some pretty great tracks in this one.

I love being able to snag some tracks, a great beer, and mix some choons and *e-hang* with friends. You should stop by. @clownshack and co requested that I try mixing first so they didn't have to stay up super late to listen. I think I liked it. May have to stick with it.

I was crushing the White Rascal by Avery Brewing Co this time around. Not really my mug of beer, but a great Belgian style white ale. It's pretty amazing the things you learn about beer mixing this show lol.  

I've been pondering live streaming video as well and posting on youtube. What do you guys think?

Liddle Rascal's no stranger to the land of trance and progressive. After hearing a CD with the 1999 Spundae Studio set by Hybrid in early '00, he was hooked. He danced from genre to genre. Breaks, Trance, Hard Dance, House, finally landing in his genres of choice, Deep Progressive House and Minimal Progressive Trance. After learning how to mix, he made a brief foray into the land of internet radio as a guest on LRCN's 4x4 Show on Afterhours.fm and a short lived live internet series called The Absinthe Sessions. Shortly thereafter, life caught up to him. He disappeared off the face of the EDM for years only to re-emerge, determined to resurrect The Hookah Clan and committed to spreading the Progspel across the globe, one set at a time.

In a quest to get in touch with his musical roots, he recently sprung on an idea for a new series of DJ sets called The Mixumentaries. This unique series gives the listener a glimpse into the mind of producers by spotlighting artists and laying a interview with them over the top of a set comprised solely of their music. He's also begun taking baby steps back into the world of internet radio appearing as a guest on Blake Baltimore's Abandon Logic show on DI.fm. Not much else is known about him other than his love for music. "I typically play my sets close to my chest, but it's time to get out there and start spread the Progspel again" he said.

According to Liddle Rascal, life is like his favorite DJ set... He's stuck in the transition waiting for the beat to drop.
