The tritone is considered a dissonant interval (3 whole tones or 6 semitones pitch spacing). But ultimately it is only our dualistic comparative intellect that judges this. In the absolute, in the divine, these distinctions should no longer exist. The natural beauty in the seemingly imperfect can be more beautiful than the artificially perfect.

Tritonus Sonate

August marks 3 years since the passing of Per-Olov Lemhagen, Master Peo, as he was known on Bandcamp, mp3u.com and other music platforms.

Peo was a clarinetist and used to play in a swing band in the 50's in Sweden. His familiarity with the instruments, arrangements and all that goes into creating authentic band pieces made him a valuable mentor in the American Jazz classics.

This one, Darktown Strutter's Ball is such a piece, and it was always a joy and a learning experience for me to lend a vocal to Peo's arrangements.  This is loosely based on Ella Fitzgerald's version of this classic.  Peo wanted to slow the tempo for his interpretation...which worked for me too ;)

Chasing the Chorus

Hello. I love different kind of music and try no to stay in a comfortable style. In a song my priorities go to melody and harmony but what counts in the end is the emotional impact of the song. I do everything by myself with my DAW and i am therefore also interested by tips in mixing or on composition. I'd be glad to share advises and receive feedback and comments. Wish you all the joy and pleasure that only music can bring. 

Those who inspired me and who always have a special place in my mind for their whole creation and their wonderful melodies : Alan Parsons Project, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush. I tried some covers to remember some of their songs.

I must say that i am a bit disapointed by GenIA nowadays applied to artistic creation. I think there is already too many sounds on soundcloud that was one of the last place for 'real' artists, i mean human. This is so easy and quick to release something that it will soon overwhelm and discourage all newcomers and I really hate to be cheated by an IA when i listen to a voice. When i was young the promese about robots was to make them do what was painfull and what we dislike (hard and dangerous physical work), but never art ! And now we will soon have machine to have fun and we will keep hard work for us
