This has been a really awful five years and it's hard to face the next one with any sort of hope. Our country is being debilitated, as predicted, by a lack of healthcare while our political system is trapped between equivocated disinterest and active malice.
We're all far from each other right now. I miss people I love so much.

I couldn't get this track to start moving for me until I embraced that it's expressing how I feel. Then it all started clicking into place.

I don't feel like I need hope in order to go on. I haven't needed it in the past. And there's some in this track anyway. 

All sounds are from my Black Centipede weirdass modular synthesizer. I've used Paulstretch on some samples to turn the rhythmic into the textural, and turned a couple samples backward to give them some flow.

This makes me really want to see what a Paulstretch rack module could sound like.

Here's today's recording. I wrote this instrumental about a year and a half ago. It kind of got stuck in my head one morning and I had to keep playing it until I got it down and out. Then it never left.
