I'm Chris Fordham, a 32 year old multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. I'm currently writing and recording my own songs and performing the occasional gig around the county and further afield. Alongside my songwriting I also produce experimental and instrumental music under the name 'The Silent Committee' (http://bit.ly/aOCiKw).

I am currently in the later stages of completing a demo full length album under the name Violet's Gone.

DJ Pyrate plunders old records crates and websites searching for killer accapellas and ryhmes to loop up over dirty breaks and basslines - always with a funky tip. Famously straight in @ No.1 Big Beat Chart Sept 1998 with classic breakbeat reworking of Curtis Mayfield's 'Pusherman'  Unagroover Remix (fromerly Pyrate's outfit)  Fresknova records available @ YouTube 3000 hits and counting! Now publishing white lables, cd and downloads sampling raggae cuts; 'Scientists', 'King Tubby' to old soul licks; 'Barbara King', 'Curtis Mayfield' and modern R&B; 'Beyonce', 'Pink' and '50 cent'.

Overland Inn is a French trip hop/ electro synth duet based in Prague (CZ). After spending some time in France, we have decided to leave to Portugal and recorded our first album 'Long Way Home' there in 2011. The following album 'Technicolor' (2012) was composed and recorded in the UK. The third one 'Between a Dog a Wolf' (2016) was entirely made in the Czech Republic, which is now our home. 

They have just released their 4th album 'PROXIMA' (2022), signed under Australian label False Peak Records. It is mostly in French and was recorded using animal sounds as sonic texture, as well as analog synth.

Violet's Gone is a Northampton based music project fronted by Chris Fordham. Chris had been a stalwart of the Northamptonshire music scene and could often be found playing bass or guitar with a number of outfits - most notably: The Snakeman 3 and Enki, both of which he played bass guitar, and also To Bury A Ghost with whom he played guitar.

He had a brief spell of releasing solo music under his own name via BFW Recordings, and also performed and released music as an instrumental act called The Silent Committee. The decision to adopt a new band name has given Chris an opportunity to start almost from scratch and removes a need to try and do everything alone. Chris still performs most of the music himself but the possibility for collaborations in the future are open. It is quite possible the songs may develop into a live emobiment also.

The debut album, simply titled 'Violet's Gone', is due for self-release on July 3rd 2018 via Bandcamp.
