This set is a high-energy heater at 130 bpm, libra-liciously dancing across the Black Atlantic musical diaspora of afrobeats, uk funky, bassline and garage house. She’s serving us the savvy selections of a Polaris Music Prize grand juror, mixed with the soul and skill of a Director at SheDJsYYC, where she offers DJ mentorship and workshops for women in Western Canada. 

You can hear the instrumental of D Big Kitty’s recent debut single with Teafannie, Ladies of the Dance, mixed in here with Mina & Bryte’s “One Leg”, and it’s great to hear new made-in-Canada afrobeats hold their own with contemporary African anthems by producers like Gafacci, Moris Beat, Citizen Boy, Pl4net Dust and Boddhi Satva.
