Lulacruza is an electronic folk duo operating at the junction of the hypermodern and the ancient.  Their music weaves together hypnotic female singing, South American folk instruments and electronic processing, while channeling pulsating waves from the source of creation.
Lulacruza combines songs, soundscapes and dance music with astonishing ease. In their live sets, they process and sample acoustic instruments, moving from tribal beats and songs amidst electronic textures, to beautiful drones and chants. 

Treating sound almost like a malleable plastic material, Lulacruza creates live and organic sonic spaces. Their music has the power to induce intense trance-like states, invoking otherworldly nature spirits and activating the resonant frequencies of the human body. 

Lulacruza is made up of Alejandra Ortiz (Colombia) and Luis Maurette (Argentina). Alejandra is an extraordinary songbird and plays the Colombian cuatro and percussion. Luis Maurette complements with electronic processing and sequencing, as well as percussion and charango. Live, they recently incorporated Pablo Paz (Argentina) on bass, electronics, and percussion.

Since meeting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, USA, in 2005, Lulacruza has performed in over 50 cities in 5 countries and released 6 albums: Do Pretty! (2006), Soloina (2008), an EP of remixes called Canta (2009), Circular Tejido (2011, Esperando el Tsunami - Visual Album (2015) and Orcas (2015). As well as the film Esperando el Tsunami with French videographer Vincent Moon. 
Their music has been included in documentaries in Colombia, Argentina and Mexico, as well as compilations in Japan, Argentina, Italy, the USA and Venezuela. In 2007, they were chosen as Today’s Top Tune on Morning Becomes Eclectic KCRW 89.9. In 2008, they were Artists in Residency at the Red Poppy Art House in San Francisco, CA and were recipients of both the Zellerbach Family Foundation grant and the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation grant for their multidisciplinary performances and social reach. In 2009 and 2011, their second, fourth and sixth albums were included in the prestigious Club del Disco catalogue in Argentina. 

They are based in Buenos Aires (Argentina).


Inti Illimani Histórico, la Historia de Inti Illimani

Inti-Illimani, sol del Illimani, nevado imponente que se yergue en las alturas andinas de La Paz, Bolivia. Es el nombre con que el grupo fue bautizado en agosto de 1967 por el guitarrista de ascendencia boliviana Eulogio Dávalos, dada la fuerte pasión por la música del altiplano andino que ya en sus inicios muestra el grupo. Después de cuarenta años transcurridos desde entonces, su nombre se identifica con la historia musical del continente latinoamericano, con sus instrumentos más característicos, con la historia de sus pueblos y los del mundo, sus luchas, con su geografía y sus sabores, significa amistad y solidaridad. Inti Illimani es música. Más aún, es cultura.

Es una historia traspasada e influenciada por los tiempos y vientos sociales. Inti-illimani surge fiel a los nuevos aires que brotan en muchos lugares del mundo durante la década de los 60 que, en el caso chileno, a partir de Violeta Parra, cambia la manera de entender y cultivar la canción y en general, la música latinoamericana.

Nacido en mayo de 1967 en el seno de la Universidad Técnica del Estado, Inti illimani se constituyó rápidamente en uno de los grupos emblemáticos del notable movimiento musical chileno conocido como "la nueva canción chilena”. Su trabajo instrumental multifacético, habla también de una búsqueda que entrecruza disciplinas muchas veces separadas; lo popular y lo clásico se vuelve un todo en sus creaciones que parecieran mostrarnos el folclore de un país imaginario, pero también real.

Tremor is a trio from Buenos Aires, that combines rhythms and sound across genre borders, fitting component parts of varying tradition together in eloquent symmetry. The artist breaks sound barriers across South America and presents their digital folklore tracks to a new, global audience.

Tremor researches folklore traditions by region and bridges generations, geography and genre to produce his signature style. Their sound is equal parts electronic music and native drum and owes as much to anthropology as it does to popular music.

Tremor executes folklore melody through a digital context. Layers of rhythm are fortified with modern synth loops and paired with timeless Andean flute, strings and drum samples for evocative hybrids.

Leaded by Leonardo Martinelli (composer and producer), the band is completed by Camillo Carbajal (bombo leguero) and Gerardo Farez (synthesizers, melodica and bombo leguero).
