Can’t get Right es una mezcla de Techno y house con sintetizadores que lo colocan en un mundo más vanguardista de lo que estamos acostumbrados en muchas piezas de techno, destacando una estructura y un uso peculiar de las percusiones. Se notan los 15 años de carrera…

Linear B builds on the success of his June release, Charon’s Crossing, with another superb techno offering on his own well regarded Rainbow Tipi, this time with a remix from Banshee.

After support has come in from tastemakers like DVS1, Noncompliant and Truncate, British artist Linear B is now right at the vanguard of the scene himself. He makes music that blurs the line between house and techno - it is always powerful and all consuming, but also comes with a wealth of subtle detail that makes a lasting impact.

Enter the Arena' came about after Linear B went to see Sasha & Digweed play a warehouse event in Amsterdam and the excitable crowd were high and happy on nitrous balloons (which are legal to sell in clubs in Amsterdam). "I settled into the night making little mental notes," he explains, "hence the words in the track, 'I remember now, this is how it is, this is how it's always been, which way will you run, which way will you fly, when you enter the arena.'” The result is a paranoid track with a menacing lead and the dark vocals, all on top of a rubbery, kinked techno groove that loops to perfection. The Banshee remix is a twisted techno stomper with a wild lead that will freak out the floor late into the night.
The excellent 'Can't Get Right' is the sound of Linear B dealing with everyday pressures and channeling that through music, which he uses as a way of escaping the mundane nature of daily life. What he comes up with is an atmospheric groove with slick hits and toms and slithering bass that draws you deep inside.

Last of all, 'Superhugs' is a techno love song, which was a secret project to send to his girlfriend on Valentine's Day while she was away in Seville. "I sang it in a 1920s crooner style with a radio mic, it kinda sounds sinister and scary." It is a twitchy, unsettling track with a spooky atmosphere and yet more superb sound design.

Linear B’s fine run of form continues apace on this standout new EP.

Belfast born techno artist/producer Linear B has over 25 years experience under his belt and in that time has brought plenty of vitality to the sharp end of techno. He has a passion for synths and stripped back drum grooves always moves forwards and evolves with each new record. Spoken word snippets, found sounds and plenty more also get mixed into his music with releases on labels such as Detone in both EP and LP format, tracks included are “Catching comets” and “Able archer”
His first ever release came out on Orient records in 2005 with a track called “shaker shaker” since then he has been working on a series of studio albums which he is currently releasing on his own Rainbow tipi imprint, Dj’s including Laurent Garnier, DVS1, Truncate and Mr Ties have heaped praise on his productions and his offerings of deep and hypnotic nature, the press reviews of his music are “Sci-fi melodies and heavyweight kicks power along this futuristic techno rollers that take you into another dimension”, there’s currently so much unreleased music by Linear B there seems to be no end of inspiration from subject matter, he’s always striving forward with his new productions never replicating always innovating, more will be revealed in the coming months and years.
