Doug Cooney has cultivated his knowledge of techno over many years. Doug‘s passion for this craft runs deep and his DJ sets span the full spectrum of Techno, past and present. His style and attention to detail have earned him warm up sets for many of his Techno heroes, with Dave Clarke, UVB and Abstract Division being recent highlights. As well as being a Mutate resident, he also plays regular headline slots in Dublin’s biggest venues & has played several gigs abroad taking a trip to Berlin’s Arena club last year featuring on the same line up as Adam X & the Dystopian Record labels Jon Hester.

Coomney makes his debut on Orbis Records with his four-track "In Plane Sight" EP, and “Riflekt“ kicks of the B-side of this release. Imagine an empty black space creeping up to you from behind. Dark. Groovy. Bleeps and Blips. Gentle throttling movements around you. Great atmosphere generator to shift any DJ-set to a higher gear and step it up a notch.

Float and Balans producer Hemka joins Matt Edwards’ Rekids Special Projects with three techno cuts entitled ‘The Portrait of Nina Sayers’.

Marseille born producer and DJ, Hemka is one of the most promising techno artists based in Paris. Her fast paced rhythmical sound has an emotional, psychedelic twist which has seen her release on Darko Esser’s Balans and TWR72’s Float Records, with support from the upper echelons like Rebekah, Dasha Rush and ROD. As a DJ she’s shared the stage with figures like Len Faki, Surgeon and James Ruskin and is a regular at Parisian clubs like Concrete and REX, not to mention the French festival circuit, when not performing all over Europe. She now joins the Rekids Special Projects series, following artists like P.Leone, DJ Spider, Tripeo and DJ Deep.

‘Doppelgänger’ features a damaging kick under disjointed piano melodies to establish an eerie aesthetic, before ‘Countdown’ offers emotive pads and twisted bleeps that evolve amidst shuffling drums. Finally, ‘The Portrait Of Nina Sayers’ escalates in tension with an arpeggiated melody, pumping kicks and firm snares.

What started as a live stream at Moscow’s Mutabor on 3rd May 2020, has morphed into the first instalment of a new digital compilation series on трип: Hot Steel.

The concept is simple: trip head Nina Kraviz announces the stream date and sends out a call to artists for their unreleased work to oidodekraviz@gmail.com, all genres are welcome. After the stream takes place, the favourite tracks are signed and a few weeks later Hot Steel is released. 

To kick off the series, Hot Steel features newcomers, fresh talent and already established artists from all over the world: from New Zealand to Spain, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland to the US and Canada, but also Russia, France, the Netherlands and Georgia. 

Hot Steel will be released on 19th June to join Bandcamp in their commitment on that day and give 100% of the sales from the compilation to NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

After almost a decade of collaborations in Berlin ranging from studio production to radio shows, party series to record label work, it was time for La Fraicheur & Leonard de Leonard to launch a new facet of their symbiotic exchange: a live duo project.

Going into this project with their joint experiences as DJs and producers, they have come up with a formula and a vision that has the dancers as central focus.

From Leonard de Leonard collaborating with techno veteran Florian Meindl to La Fraicheur producing her debut album in Detroit during a residency with Underground Resistance, these two artists push forward a long-lasting passion for techno.

After their first EP “Sang Chaud” on Leonizer records, they’re back with 3 techno and industrial flavors including remixes by 6SISS (R&S records / User Experience) who delivers a power rhythmic vision followed by the first collaboration of Southsoniks with Marc Ayats (A-TRACTION Records’ founder) a peak time track with a crazy break!
