I was inspired by the wind in Branka Kantas beautiful track "The Wind Of The Wolf". After I had listen to his track I knew that I wanted to make something "stormy" so I composed the hefty part immediately. It has also been very fun to play with electronic sounds. Hope you like the result.

The Hills of Longdendale (Words: Ammon Wrigley, Music: Rutter)

'The Moorland Poet’ Ammon Wrigley (1861-1946) was a writer, historian, singer, song collector and artist from the hills above Saddleworth. Over the past few years I’ve been reading a great deal of his published works and he really does feel like such a proper friend to me -which I reckon is the mark of a truly great writer, especially seeing as that he died nearly eighty years ago. The setting of one of his poems here, from Songs of the Pennine Hills, is my attempt to do justice to his remarkable writings and character.

As the sun dives into the deep dark ocean, the human folks abandon the beaches and return to their homes to have a drink and a talk and a good night sleep. Little do they know that when the sea-winds turn and the full moon paints the black waters in silver, the folks of the sea start to dance anf sing to the rythm of the crushing waves and the real fun just begins.

Hace calor y te concentras
en las piedras que forman
un mosaico allá en la era.
Se tapa el sol y otra vuelta,
como un tiovivo, el trillo que gira
tirado por las bestias.

Tu curiosidad,
se forjó en aquel lugar,
entre olivos, almendros,
y chumberas.

Tus manos veo, segunda escena,
fabricando entre los dedos guita 
a la sombra de la higuera.
Y al lado aquel horno de piedra
que quiere imitar al sol calentando 
hogazas de pan quemando leña.
Tu mente piensa en primavera
y los almendros en flor la anticipan 
siempre mirando donde quieras.

Tu curiosidad,
se forjó en aquel lugar:
entre olivos, almendros,
abruptas ramblas de arena,
chicharras que cantan al fresco
de la desierta paz.

Tus ojos veo, tercera escena,
observando la luz azul
de los restos de la hoguera,
ya se ha acabado la verbena
y te late el corazón
al son del tiritar de las estrellas,
pues todos vinieron a la cena
los que ya no están y los que están aún 
brindaron por las penas.



Tu curiosidad,
se forjó en aquel lugar,
entre olivos, almendros,
y chumberas,
me gusta imaginar
que aún se pueden visitar
que son como la luz 
de aquella estrella.

2023 : I'm currently working on remixing all content on this profile. The plan to re-release it.

ZODALITT is Lise Jonsson. I'm a Norwegian composer, pianist, and music educator for children. Began playing piano by ear at age 7 and began composing at age 12. Beginning in 2015, I began creating music more earnestly as a means of therapy and to express myself.  My music fits into several genres which showcase my compositional, pianistic, arranging, and creative skills. My life have been enriched by travels, especially Greece, where I spent three years. My academic experiences, music teaching background, and life experiences bring richness, variety, and meaning to my music. I 'm especially fond of the beauty of the countryside of my native Norway, where I find inspiration from nearby forests where I frequently walks with my dog. I took the name ZODALITT after the crystal stone Sodalite. Sodalite crystal meaning is linked to the ethereal energy that promotes the highest form of self-expression. Artists were known to carry Sodalite for inspiration. The Sodalite crystal stone meaning has a long held association with the colour of the heavens.
Influenced by : Secret Garden, Vangelis, Mozart, Chopin, Tsjajkovskij, Nigel Kennedy, classical music, music from the 80s, especially Queen and Freddy Mercury, and a lot of music in different genres....old and new !
