These recordings are work in progress from People's Music band sessions in Chingford, London, hosted Age UK. These are the short snippets of music along the way to creating a new piece of music inspiref by a community quilt being made by Creative Community London.

Soundcastle's People's Music programme supports adults who are looking after their mental health through creative music making. These sessions are funded the City Bridge Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation and Arts Council England.

4 Sea Monsters

I'm going to upload a series of 'mixes' over the coming weeks of music that I find particularly calming. I will try to make these one hour sessions filled with beautiful music that is helpful and calming to listen to while we get through this extraordinarily hard time. The music here definitely helps me feel less anxious. I have just segued it together so the credit is really all due to the wonderful souls who made the tracks I used. Hello Song

Composed during the Covid-19 lockdown via Zoom, Wabi-sabi is a song of hope which celebrates the perfection in imperfection. By mending the cracks with gold, we can rise above challenge and become stronger together!

The People's Music Collective is a Worthing based band with a shared lived experience of mental health challenges. Their collaborative approach to composition results in moving and emotive music which celebrates and affirms their combined creative talents.

Isolation hit me hard,
