Mitry’s Parallels marks the 125th episode of the Mood Series, delivering four atmospheric and soothing tracks that perfectly embody their titles. The EP excels in creating vivid soundscapes, inviting listeners into calming, meditative spaces.
The title track, 'Parallels', opens with a breezy, scenic atmosphere. A low-slung BPM carries a rolling bass, conjuring the sensation of a cool beach breeze. The serene melody and soft, heavenly layers unfold with grace, immersing the listener in an almost transcendent state. 'Traffic' shifts the mood, yet retains a deep sense of flow. Swirling chords ascend and descend, mimicking the ebb and flow of traffic. A deep dub groove underpins the rhythm, its hypnotic structure evoking the constant movement and pulse of a bustling city. 'Change'` leans into a meditative zone, with relaxing, fluid rhythms. Its calming effect brings a sense of tranquility, encouraging introspection. The track's simplicity and steady progression make it the perfect companion for mindful moments. 'Clouds' closes the EP with soft, slow-moving textures, evoking the gentle drift of low-lying clouds. We are really proud and honored to present ESPECTRUM, a year-long effort to put together a compilation of the best dub techno. The idea was simple, but ambitious: ask some of our favorite artists for one track to epitomize dub techno—the style of music we’ve loved and continued to develop since our birth as producers and a label. With a very precise idea of what we wanted to collect, the compilation was carefully built with hypnotic, obscure, dense, and magical sounds with an eternal hook. These are the kind of tracks that will never lose their appeal, because they go above and beyond labels, styles, and trends, resisting the passage of time. After the first tracks starting coming in, the idea grew more and more special, and the concept even stronger. We knew we were onto something really big. And, finally, here it is.
