Born and raised on the Southeast Side of Chicago, IL, Claudius Funk is a lover of all genres of music.  From gospel to jazz; from the blues to classic R&B, Claudius has an affinity for all things musical.  First introduced to a pair of 1200s in early 1998, Claudius got serious with playing in 2004.  DJs who he has studied and consider an influence on his style of play:  Mark Ridgeway aka Ridge Daddy; Nick NonStop; DJ Diego; House Mike Feva; Mike Dunn; Pharris Thomas; Sadar Bahar; Lee Collins; DJ CCA; Dimitri From Paris; Carl Cox, just to name a few... Heavily influenced by the classic disco sound, while having complete respect for the evolution of House music, Claudius Funk will definitely move your body...
