IT'S ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT THE BASS.

We will always have that fantastic feeling inside us of hearing that bass getting louder and louder as we are carried closer and closer to the heart of our favourite dance floor.
We will always have in our minds that bass line of that rock song that will stay with us for all our lives, Peter Hook, Simon Gallup, Mani...You name it.
Tristesse Contemporaine is glued together by three adopted Parisians, a Japanese girl and two guys, one British, one Swedish.
Raw, desperate and hypnotic energy engulfed by memories of Shoegazer and Krautrock.
The trio flirt in the shadows of Suicide with catchy melodies and synth-pop, held together by that androgynous voice, suspended on the razor's edge of that beautiful vintage bass.

Romantic and flamboyant, arrogant and haunting, their first album imagines a world in chiaroscuro, where the electrical illuminations of shoegazing merge with electronic beats, with a heightened new wave sensitivity.
Climb to the dark side of modern pop as you enter the fractured, hypnotic, dance of Tristesse Contemporaine.

Hanna's Marines is a London-based, female-fronted, alternative/pop four-piece. Hanna, bolstered by her troop of musicians, has been engaging in acoustic warfare since Sept 2013.

Spare Room Recording is the umbrella for the musical activities of  Nick and Hannah Harris. As producers / mixers / musicians / songwriters  and composers they have worked with a diverse selection of artists on a range records and independent films.

Using their wealth of musical  knowledge, technical savvy and high quality gear, they provide a  creative, fun environment that aims to bring a song / composition / artist to the fullest potential.

Artists that Nick and Hannah have worked with have been signed to labels, had music licenced to labels and films, and have received regular airplay on radio including Radio1 and BBC6Music.

As well as studio work Nick and Hannah have been a  regular presence on the London scene both as performers and supporting  the live work of the artists that they work with. 

Nick is also a live sound engineer: working regularly at the award winning venue Green Note in London, Nick mixes shows for artists across the musical spectrum a number of whom have won, or been nominated for,  major wards within their own particular genres.

His experience as both a musician and a producer really helped me get to grips with the process, whether it was suggesting minor edits to song structure or talking through different techniques for getting the snare sound I was after.
