Fantasy Fields consists of guitarist, Zack; vocalist and Keyboardist, Mark; drummer, Luke, and bassist, Matt. Zack, Mark, and Matt join us on this episode of local Harmony to discuss how Fantasy Fields formed, how the group initially started their pursuit of music, the metaphors found in Mark’s lyricism and details surrounding the production of their songs. Their music is a blend of indie pop and rock influences. Like their band name suggests, their music is emotional, hopeful, and pure. Ben came on Local Harmony to share his experience rec0rding his first E.P. Ben Went West. He discusses the import of collaborations and his inspirations behind his really cool folk/western project that progressed into an album that we get to listen and appreciate. Originally from the UK, and now living here with us in the central valley, we had an enjoyable chat about this local who recorded this e.p. in the central valley and incorporated the playing of talented musicians to contribute to his first e.p. Disorderly Conduct a.k.a. The Beatles is the aggressive punk rock act from the Central Valley here to melt faces and work you up to mosh and release your anger in a way that unites crowds together, have immense fun and to bring everyone to this consensus: things suck right now but we don’t have to sit here and do nothing. Let’s headbang and have some fun and **** the system and those who just cause pain by their lack of genuinity. Freedom and free speech is the heart of DIY punk, and thank the good Lord for this creative outlet, so we can express the feelings of those who are upset with the status quo, and ultimately, those that hurt and oppress. Punk rock ethos is definitely at the heart of our conversation, and I am proud that we tapped into that on this pod. This valley punk band is a cool crew of friends who love making music; Charlie Crash, lead vocalist and guitarist; Peyton, lead guitarist; Devin, bassist; David, again, killing it on the drums; with mutual respect for each other’s talents and are creating ferocious, sleek, and aggressive punk rock here in your backyard. Go see them, follow them, and feel good doing it because you are supporting sweet local art that is challenging the status quo with a genuine expression of anger towards things that make us unhappy. Charlie Crash, Peyton, Devin, and David from Disorderly Conduct

Well, here we go, folks. We’ve got Erick back, but now, with his full fledged band: Romero, Lead guitarist, Logan, slappin da bass; Matt, beating those drums. The crew met in my room and played ATV Offroad fury and Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer on my ps2 and enjoyed some butter pecan ice cream and one Miller High Life. We had a good time, and it was fun to visit with the “rock star of the valley,” Erick. Pansy Party’s stage presence, energy, and connection to their fans is undeniable. Definitely, have some fun by seeing them live and giving them a hug. Listen for some laughs, video game commentary, and good freaking music.
