"Carlo Simula is an italian DJ and digger, producer, label manager and author for the much-revered Overfitting Disco blog, focusing on all things disco, especially weird and wonderful european and worldwide obscurities.

It is fair to say that Carlo is one of the most knowledgeable people on the planet when it comes to Italian disco records from the 70s and 80s. 
2015 saw him officially reissue a cult 1981 7" record - Andromeda by Andromeda - on a 12" numbered vinyl including his respectful extended edit, as well as a remix by italian pioneer dj Beppe Loda, that marked the first release on his own “Disco Segreta” imprint. 

From there a string of top notch quality releases, such as Gino Pavan, Susana Estrada, those by Miro (Brina - Stranamore and Pat&Pats - Tobago) to the ones lined up in the future, the label has now become a quality guarantee among DJs and collectors of previously undetected, yet very danceable, 70s Italian and European disco music and 80s italo-disco.

Lover of fine sleaze, off-key singing, flanged drums, vocoders, drilling synth lines and - in general - anything that failed the charts, Carlo's selection often touches assorted Italian weirdos, as well as French, German, Spanish and other countries' disco music, all played on vinyl only, for the real deal experience, careless of any fashion."

He is a DJ who doesn't merely take you on another drum journey, but adds an extra dimension where preconception doesn't apply. It can take a while to get used to it though. Because sophistication never went out of style, it just took a few decades to catch up with it. And when the coin finally dropped, Albion was there to pick it up. In 2004 he realized that he could set out on a musical journey that no DJ had done before him. Over the last years he has recorded more than a hundred mixes and has steadily built up a worldwide following.

With the groundbreaking Mixtura mixes, he rediscovered and brought together European disco tracks that had been lost and forgotten since the heydays, Albion defined his own sound, which he refers to as Continental Disco Sound.

So far, he has been putting dance floors on fire in Amsterdam, Athen, Barcelona, Belgrad, Berlin, Bordeaux, Bristol, Bruxelles, Chemnitz, København, Dresden, Dublin, Göteborg, Hague, Helsinki, Leeds, Leipzig, London, Lyon, Madrid, Malmö, Mons, München, Mockba, New York, Oslo, Palma de Mallorca, Paris, Pescara, Rotterdam, Sofia, Stockholm, Thessaloniki, Turku, Uzés, Veliko Tarnovo and Vilnius.

Flemming Dalum, also know as King of the cut, discovered his musical journey at an early age. An interest based out of curiosity for electronic synthesizer legends emerging while he grew up. With his first synth, the Korg Polysix, a lifelong passion was born. He started playing in bands in 1982, experimenting with electronics and the new world of sounds and possibilities. At the same time he started experimenting with records and discovered a natural talent for mixing and blending synths with records, creating his own unique world of sound. In mind that the CD wasn't invented, neither was the HD recorder, the heart in Flemmings set-up was a simple cassette recorder. An invention that should soon add yet another angle to his musical universe. With snappy skills and imagination, the cassette soon became his most important instrument taking him to the next level. The world of mixing. With sampler, echomachine, decks, synths and a beloved cassette recorder, the first true mixes came out of his studio already in 1983. Mixes with so much detail, soon giving him the legendary name "King of the cut". In the same year, 1983, Flemming stumbled across Koto "Chinese Revenge", a discovery that should soon lead Flemming into a brave new world matching his own, with synths and electronics being the heart of the music. The passion became strong and shortly after the Koto discovery, brought him to his first trip to Milan, Il Discotto, Discomagic, Non-Stop, Merak etc. to investigate the Italo phenomenon in detail. The following years Flemming visited the Italian distributors 11 times which later proves to be one of the major reasons to the fact that he has one of the worlds most complete collections of Italo and Disco. Through the years, the synths has been replaced with computers and equipment matching the urge for mixing. Something that has kept the true Italo spirit alive and made Flemming Dalum a legend in mixing today.
