With over ten albums under his musical belt, Logan Lynn has firmly established himself as a singular and dynamic talent. First of all, Lynn is a musician, writer, producer, filmmaker, television personality, mental health advocate, and LGBT activist. He's worked with everyone from the Get-Up Kids to Portugal the Man to the comic Jay Mohr and his writing has appeared in the Huffington Post and the Portland Mercury,among others. He's done commercial spots, acted in shows like The Last Meal Series and the Library and in 2017 the National Council gave Lynn the Award of Excellence for Artistic Expression.
His new album Softcore is a buoyant blast of blissful synth pop and indie rock stomp. It's a celebration of love and, as Lynn puts it: "the absolute wildness that happens between two people who are desperately in love with each other." Filled with catchy grooves and horny swagger, Softcore is not only pure sonic joy it's the perfect album to soundtrack your summer with.

Sheila Hamilton talks with Logan Lynn about his evolution from electro-pop and  dance to his latest release, Adieu, a series of songs written during Lynn's battle to save his own life.  
Lynn has released seven studio albums, fifteen music videos, four singles, three compilation records, five EP’s and one mixtape since 1998. Videos of Lynn’s singles have been featured on Logo, MTV, VH1 and Spike TV. Lynn's role as the Chief Communications Officer for Trillium family places him at the epicenter of the conversation regarding trauma informed care and recovery.  Lynn's eighth album,  Adieu is being released in the coming weeks,

With ADIEU, Logan Lynn puts melody to his own mental health crisis and takes us with him on an unflinching journey inward. ADIEU is a leap into an abyss that most of us, including Lynn previously, spend our lives trying our best not to have to look at. There are no metaphors here; just dirty, honest and, at times, difficult truth. 

In the album’s liner notes, Lynn writes “ADIEU is about saying goodbye to love. It is also, at times, about my not wanting to live…or not knowing how to move through this traumatic experience we all call “living”. It is about overcoming heartache; about resilience in the face of grief and suffering; and about love being stronger than anything else.” 

Musically, ADIEU is a departure for Logan Lynn, with he and his longtime collaborator Gino Mari abandoning the electronic dance vehicle Lynn has made a name for himself by way of over the past 2 decades, landing them both squarely in a mix of rock, pop, punk and deep 90s vibes. Citing musical influences that range from Liz Phair, David Bowie, Elliott Smith, The Ocean Blue, Kathleen Hannah, The Sundays, R.E.M. and Innocence Mission to modern references like Whitey, Chvrches, Logan’s friends Chromatics, Portland Punk Icon Beth Ditto, and former labelmates and mentors The Dandy Warhols, both Lynn and Mari sound right at home in this space. 

Over the course of the record’s 15 tracks, Lynn is our guide through very personal trauma, profound loss, his own persistent suicidal ideation and mental health struggle, and out the other side into a place of resilience, recovery, hope and love…or Hell, as it were. 

Logan Lynn’s reclaiming of eternal Hellfire and damnation on ADIEU‘s final cut “Oh, Lucifer” is a brutal roasting of the religious fundamentalist cult he escaped as a young person and a grandiose middle finger to all of the insufferable anti-gay bigots he has encountered in the years since. By the time Lynn sings the lyrics “Remember, my dears that if we don’t sin then Jesus died for fucking nothing” and a demon voice begins to growl “Faggots should be burned”, it’s clear that this song — and album, for that matter – are not at all what they may have seemed. 

Lynn’s 8th record ADIEU releases on his 8th year clean from a very well-documented 16 year addiction to cocaine, crack cocaine and alcohol that nearly took his life in 2008. Logan is no stranger to themes of addiction and mental health challenges in his music and he is the brainchild behind the successful “Keep Oregon Well” campaign to fight stigma through the arts. Since its inception, Logan Lynn has partnered on the #KeepOregonWell Concert Series with Bleachers, Kevin Bacon, The Dandy Warhols, Of Monsters And Men, Pete Yorn, Charli XCX, Walk Off The Earth, Kurt Vile, Flo Rida, Priory, Tori Kelly, David Gray, Matt Nathanson, Collective Soul, Blitzen Trapper, Violent Femmes, Graham Nash, Blind Pilot and hundreds of other bands, authors, performers and artists committed to raising awareness about mental health and fighting stigma through the arts.

Logan Lynn is a songwriter and producer who Billboard writes “has made a career out of crafting catchy, disorderly songs that almost all include big beats, fun melodies and cheeky lyrics”.

The former host of NewNowNext Music on MTV’s Logo Network, he has collaborated with 80s pop star Tiffany, 90s alt-rock legends The Dandy Warhols, and dozens of others. Lynn’s songs have appeared in international advertising campaigns by CoverGirl Cosmetics, Oscar de la Renta, Nicole Miller, Volkswagen and more.

Upon soundtracking songs for the Netflix series EastSiders during its final season, he signed to Kill Rock Stars in 2020 and released an album titled New Money on the label in 2022. He then collaborated with production duo Yellow Trash Can (ILoveMakonnen, Nova) and released a 5-song EP and short film, titled “Distracted”, on KRS in summer of 2023.

Lynn released his 11th studio album, SOFTCORE, on Kill Rock Stars on June 7th, 2024 alongside a short film by the same name. In September of that same year, KRS released a 30 song deluxe edition of the record which features 19 new tracks. The HARDCORE sister record includes collaborations with FAWN (Glass Candy, Chromatics), Desolation Horse, Melissa Ferrick, Glitterfox, Kyle Andrews, and dozens of others.

In 2025, after appearing on the soundtrack for “Unconventional” on Revry TV, Lynn announced he was working on new music.
