The talented Norwegian duo of Tore Gjedrem and Petter Haavik have accomplished much under their well-known Ost & Kjex moniker, releasing wildly original music while maintaining a refreshing sense of joy as they purvey their far-reaching sounds. Applying their remix flex to fellow-Norwegian artist Kohib's haunting 2021 release 'Rhythm Cast A Spell On You', the pair work their distinct magic into the breathtaking original. Adding weight to the drums and a floor-focused gravity to the production, their version reframes Lydia Waits' hyper-atmospheric vocal over a tight but brooding club aesthetic. Bass arpeggios feverishly undulate as moody synth sweeps cascade over piercing snares and fizzing cymbals, building to a kinetically-charged crescendo for an unabated dance-floor eruption.

This is scintillating work from all concerned, with Ost & Kjex propelling Kohib's mesmerising music into the hearts and minds of an entirely new audience with their powerful revision – serving an unmissable release traversing disparate shades of Norway's vivid electronic music spectrum.

As a teenager, Amount started producing Hip hop tracks, later moving on to Easy listening, House, and Downtempo. "The Trip" is a retrospective of the early days, with organs and synth sounds, a vocal sample, and a fat Hip hop beat that come together to create harmonic melancholy over the sound of a siren.
"The Trip" is the first track and single of Amount's debut album "Expanding Abundance" out December 2, 2022. On the album, he continues his musical journey toward dark and happy disco.

Creating an introverted version of restrained electronic music Berlin-based artist Constantijn Lange releases his second album 'Liquide' on Heimlich Musik. The album is based on sketches created in isolation during the second pandemic year. 

The compositions are characterized by self-reflection and an attempt to translate the abstract experience of listening to oneself into a concrete form. The sound of personal isolation, the necessary withdrawal from the world and the restriction of all social contacts is, therefore, less club oriented and focused on functionality than an expressive concept of ideas, rather oriented on Trip Hop, Breakbeat, Ambient and Jazz. 

The collective rediscovery of shared experience results in arrangements of melancholic but optimistic melodies recorded with vintage synthesizers, supported by complex drum patterns and diverse percussions that create a signature sound as a new liquid amalgam.

We can barely imagine a better start to the new year.
For our 21st release "Obsidian" many friends pulled together. The EP features one original track and three remixes. The original track "Obsidian" was co-composed by Sun Drine, Dit:eau, Ben Jarli and TrickyJones.

Friendship, kinship and a common passion for many shades of electronic music made these four creative spirits set foot on an adventurous trail: a spontaneous collaboration.

A studio session makes a fruitful birthday gift, and what started with the sole and humble ambition of having a good time skinny-dipping in synths & sounds, soon evolved into a harmonic workflow that none of them could have anticipated.

An outburst of rhythmic elements in a gloomy atmosphere and a rolling bassline carrying a sparkling/flamboyant breakbeat make Obsidian a tune resembling an obscure igneous rock - petrified lava that preserves its natural force, energy and heat for those special occasions.

As a senior stone mason infamous for his fine sonic carvings, Bernstein transforms the original's dark timbres into a driving and bubbly gem, a shining spherolite in a flowstone cave.
With their fierce and powerful interpretation, ki ya tori take the original to the floor, without further adue.
In the spirit of adept reductionism, avsluta's ambient mix rounds this EP off to a coherent yet versatile whole.

During the cosmic ride through the "Widelands" of Sebastian's mind, we will meet four rocket engineers who accompany him for a while. The darkness of the night can mean everything and nothing. The empty and the complete. The erase and contemplate. It can exist and not exist. It can be fear and comfort. It is hiding and freedom. Escape and affirmation. Loneliness and company. Silence and noise.
In the night is where everything (not) happens, the eyes see, but not necessarily look. Mouths move, but not necessarily express. Bodies meet, but not necessarily feel.
Artificial lights overshadow natural lights, poles and lighthouses replace the stars. Sleep becomes anesthesia.
The sun will shine once more and a new day will begin. A new night awaits, in an eternal cycle of (un)certainties. Night in light, day in darkness. Speaking low and thinking aloud. Screaming in and silencing out.
I walk through the blue sky, the white clouds, and still nocturne.
