Catching Up in the Archive is a major exhibition by artist Mariana Lanari showcasing the evolving infrastructure of de Appel Archive. Displaying more than 16 000 objects in de Appel’s Aula and launching an interactive online environment, Catching Up in the Archive stages unprecedented activations, public gatherings, ear-opening encounters, and ‘moving’ situations with special guests and curious passers-by.

As a first intervention Loma Doom was asked to research the audio-archive. Performed twice, this is the second part that was performed on May 29 2022 for a live audience. The audio is a fragmented collage of audio pieces and lectures of artists that have collaborated with De Appel throughout its history.
