So a little bit ago I made an original little tune. In this version, I have extended it and worked on it more. I am unsure of a name for the track but please do let me know if you think it should be a full song. (Like 2 mins long.)

Another Short Original Song

Wanted to do something with a piano focus, and so Piano Politics was born. ;) I did a lot more editing of individual loops with this one to make them line up in different ways and stuff. Had fun with this one. I couldn’t quite get it to all come together until I had the idea to add a vocal and that was what ended up really “tying the room together”. 😊 Vocals were what was missing. I’m really starting to realize the importance of vocals and how they transform songs, take them to a whole new dimension. Anyway, thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy! ❤️

Piano Politics

So I was on a call with tee yesterday and we started having a heehee funny argument bc he sucked shit at making anything on BeepBox (pretty good at guitar tho). To prove that I was better than him, I made a mini original in 5 minutes and sent it to him with the name "im better than you (ha)". He responded saying it actually sounded pretty good, so I continued to work on it and I got this. :)

I’m trying to help my son how to put a song together on garageband. But most of the time he just wants to layer like 60 loops on top of each other, so that you can barely distinguish sounds from each other. So in an attempt to try and work thru the process with him, I took the pieces he had picked out and turned them into a song. He liked it but still says he thinks his is “awesome sounding”. 😆 Trying to teach him certain basics of song structure, etc without squashing his creativity and ability to think outside the box. Eventually i’ll have him put up his version which is actually more on the Industrial side so far. Very heavy. Mainly because it’s seriously like 30 loops all layered on top of each other…trying to explain to him the conceot of cacophonies as well, haha but whatevs. 😆😉

I’ve loved music all my life, all genres (except most latin & most big band jazz), but I had always been too afraid to make any of my own. So I started off playing around with loops on Garage Band and it allowed me to ease into the “game” without technically making any music of my own. It also allowed me to learn placement and editing and a lot of other crucial things I needed to learn. Now, two years later, I’ve learned a lot and I'm having so much fun! I'm even making original content now! 😱 My first official album is releasing December 1st, 2023. And my next goal is to start learning on Ableton. That’s next level. ;) Anyway, thanks for listening!
