Loop Artist, Loop Dee Loo, discovered loops on GarageBand in 2021 and thus began her musical journey. Growing Pains is Loop Dee Loo's first official album. It is named such because it has been an album of struggle and growth for her. Coming after the death of her father, to whom the album is dedicated, it is a culmination of all that she has learned over the past two years of making music. It develops for us a snapshot of where she is currently at in her life and in her stage of musical growth. The album is a mix of many different genres and styles. LDL brings seemingly opposing genres and styles of music together and weaves them into something new and hopefully unexpected, surprising the listener. This makes listening to the album a fun and enjoyable experience. In addition to intertwining multiple genres, Growing Pains bobs and weaves between darkness and light, good and evil, highs and lows. This album is meant to be a journey for the listener, just as it was a long and difficult journey for the artist to pull it all together and make it. Each individual song is a journey from its beginning to its end, building layer upon layer and moving from first Act to final Act. In the same way, the album is a voyage from its opening note to its final echo. With Growing Pains, Loop Dee Loo invites you to go on a trip with her. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

So a little bit ago I made an original little tune. In this version, I have extended it and worked on it more. I am unsure of a name for the track but please do let me know if you think it should be a full song. (Like 2 mins long.)

Another Short Original Song

Wanted to do something with a piano focus, and so Piano Politics was born. ;) I did a lot more editing of individual loops with this one to make them line up in different ways and stuff. Had fun with this one. I couldn’t quite get it to all come together until I had the idea to add a vocal and that was what ended up really “tying the room together”. 😊 Vocals were what was missing. I’m really starting to realize the importance of vocals and how they transform songs, take them to a whole new dimension. Anyway, thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy! ❤️

Piano Politics

So I was on a call with tee yesterday and we started having a heehee funny argument bc he sucked shit at making anything on BeepBox (pretty good at guitar tho). To prove that I was better than him, I made a mini original in 5 minutes and sent it to him with the name "im better than you (ha)". He responded saying it actually sounded pretty good, so I continued to work on it and I got this. :)

I’ve loved music all my life, all genres (except most latin & most big band jazz), but I had always been too afraid to make any of my own. So I started off playing around with loops on Garage Band and it allowed me to ease into the “game” without technically making any music of my own. It also allowed me to learn placement and editing and a lot of other crucial things I needed to learn. Now, two years later, I’ve learned a lot and I'm having so much fun! I'm even making original content now! 😱 My first official album is releasing December 1st, 2023. And my next goal is to start learning on Ableton. That’s next level. ;) Anyway, thanks for listening!
