At Remix Comps we list all the remix contests that we come across on our site specifically designed for remix contests. Day One is a hip-hop collective based out of Central Massachusetts. Formed in 2003 and comprised of LouSixx (MC), and Kut (producer/MC). Their music uses a mixture of original material and sampling, combined with the band and scratching to produce an all encompassing soundscape. The group has independently released two full-length albums, Let There Be Light (2007) and Reboot (2010), and one EP, Day Zero (2008). They are currently at work on their third opus, Dysfunction. All of their work can be downloaded for FREE.

After a very long break due to health issues I'm back doing what I love. Life is challenging & so many things along the way try to bring you down but those experiences also make you a better & stronger person. I'm grateful for what I have & the people who love me. I hope you enjoy what I share here & I'll see you at one of my shows making you dance till you leave.

Sound Designer/Engineer/Producer 

My name is Franky Redente, I am a Sound Designer/Engineer/Producer with twenty-five years of professional experience. My work spans various creative fields including Sound Design, Audio Engineering, Music Production and Performance, Procedural and Interactive Audio, Software Development, Post Production, and Events Planning.

My solo and collaborative music projects have been played and supported by BBC Radio 1, NTS Radio, WorldWideFM, Gilles Peterson, Roman Flügel, Slam, Robert Hood, Laurent Garnier, and many more.

As a software developer and sound designer, I have worked with programmer Robert M. Thomas who’s clients and collaborations include London Contemporary Orchestra, Massive Attack, Hans Zimmer, Imogen Heap,  Google, Bose, Selfridges, Boiler Room, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Nottingham University Mixed Reality Lab, to name a few.

I am currently working as a Lead Sound Designer at Umind “leading workplace wellbeing platform, on a mission to create mentally healthy workplaces where employees can flourish”.

These are some tunes I have mixed together. Mainly for my own amusement and enjoyment. If you decide to listen, use headphones or you will miss all the bass.

Javier was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1974.
Starting at a young age, he got his inspiration from many different bands such as New Order, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Clash and much more he has combined sounds from the House genre and Electro Rock Genre. He spins on Thurdays at Acqua Lounge Club, Fridays at Sur A Club, on Saturdays as Guest on somes Clubs. 

His style is so personal and energetic. He likes mix different styles with something Retro. His favorite band is U2 and has got admiration with artists like David Guetta, Echomen & Dr Kucho. He was play at recognized clubs like "Deja Vu" (Adrogue),"Coyote" (Lomas),"El Eterno" (Adrogue),"Boxer" (Monte Grande),"Adrogue Chico" (Adrogue), "Area" (San Bernardo), 
"El Eterno" (San Bernardo), "Madame X" (Adrogue). Actually 2007, he is particpating at Cafe del Mar selection for the new album and the Red Bull Music Academy submission.
