Rising star SOSA collaborates with established producer and DJ duo Prok | Fitch. Together, they weave their distinct sound of groove-based tech house, releasing a club-driven creation suitable for transient and peak-time moments on the dancefloor. 

They explain the functional aspect of the EP. “We’ve wanted to do something together for a while through a mutual love for one another’s music. The tracks came together effortlessly; we merged our production styles, bounced the projects back and forth and ended up doing three tracks covering the full scope of our DJ sets and us as producers,” they say. “It was important to have a lead track for the EP, something that a good cross-section of DJs could get behind and then some timeless DJ tools for groovier floors, late night/early morning moments and the big rooms! We’re buzzing with how they turned out and how they’ve been working on the dancefloor.” The title tune opens with a minimal vibe before a sultry vocal slips into the soundscape, evoking a sunrise-at-the-rave mood. Stripped-back percussion allows the lyrics to breathe, while a robust kickdrum conveys a clubby feel. Like the title suggests, Sweat is a pacier tune that ripples with a low-slung bassline and sizzling vocals with a touch of reverb—the perfect late-night groover. Final tune Footsteps In The Dark unfurls with a stabby synthline and snappy percussion, offering a peak-time production primed for a club soundsystem.

Bastian Bux strides into 2024 with an impressive three-tracker on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax. 

Bastian Bux was hugely busy in 2023 with standout cuts on his own Neverendz label, having already impressed on Eats Everything's Edible, elrow Music and Cuartero's Sanity. He hails from Barcelona and has shown himself to be endlessly creative in the studio - each new tune shows an evolution in his sound, whether vocal, deep, tech or beyond. Now, almost a decade into his career, he has played everywhere from Tomorrowland to Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas, and he now opens the year with a superb three-track EP on Hottrax. 

The punchy 'Dunns' kicks off with tight, clipped tech house drums and chopped-up vocal stabs that eventually turn into streetwise bars drenched in attitude. 'Dat Beat' is just as fresh and sure to get crowds in a swat with its hardcore house grooves and twisted synths spraying about the mix. Throw in more well-treated vocal fragments and a fat bassline, and you have real club dynamite. Completing this essential hat trick is 'Howyalldoin', a more playful cut with a sun-kissed vibe thanks to its soulful male vocals and funky bass riffs.

Prok & Fitch are a dynamic duo from Brighton (UK), and they are making their Mindshake debut following releases on some of house music's most prestigious record labels such as Relief, Hot Creations, Circus Recordings, Solid Grooves, Repopulate Mars and Sola. Not only have Prok & Fitch dropped numerous solo productions, they have also collaborated on numerous tracks with the likes of Mark Knight, Dosem and Green Velvet.

Voices is the second original track, and it fuses the soulful tones of trippy vocals with moody atmospherics and a chunky bassline.
