Claire Rousay is an experimental musician and performer based in Texas. 
She has closely collaborated with visual artist Dani Total, who created the visual narrative for her latest album, a softer focus. The title alludes to the meditative dream state of creating, which is well suited to a release which is ethereal, floating between warm and melancholy. The album itself also floats between ambient, electronica, drone and pop. 

In this mix, Claire Rousay has combined a selection of vinyl and digital tracks with recontextualized sounds from videos.

Stockholm-based composer Ellen Arkbro is known for her work as a minimalistic explorer of experimental and ambient territories. Here she has made a mix featuring Japanese and Scandinavian music for acoustic string instruments, rhythmic electronic music, and two works for organ composed by her colleagues and dear friends Isak Edberg and Kali Malone. In her own words: "This is music that inspires me, music that brings clarity to mind. Arranged in this particular order, this collection of music reveals some of the ways in which seemingly distinct kinds of music are ultimately non-different. “

"Je voulais faire un mix plutôt soul ou lover's rock mais ce n'était pas l'ambiance du moment... J'ai donc fait quelque chose de plus atmosphérique ou classique. A écouter sans doute tout seul..." - c'est ainsi qu'Amos Childs, l'un des trois musiciens du groupe anglais Jabu, a répondu à notre demande de mix pour terminer 2020. Sa réalisation évoque les atmosphères mélancoliques des disques de son groupe, entre chanson nocturne et hip-hop de narcolepsie. L'album sorti fin 2020 tourne en boucle sur nos platines virtuelles et solitaires - celles qui ne s'accommodent que des musiques qui ont charge d'âme. Mais, tout aussi étrange que cela puisse paraitre, ce mix s'écoute aussi comme la bande-son des fantômes qui peuplent les nuits de Noël, et apparaissent juste après minuit.
