Erdi Irmak is simply one of the most eclectic producers in the modern deep & melodic scene. The Turk has carved his own path, releasing sensational cross-cultural sounds on the likes of Tale & Tone, Amulanga, and Hoomidas. The XYZ faithful will have grown fond of Erdi’s work on the imprint thus far, appearing on each of our Oppo projects and presenting a delightful remix of a label classic - Same Light. The Istanbul-bred producer now arrives in full, crafting his first full-fledged EP on XYZ in the form of Driftwood.

In many ways, Amega is the voice of XYZ. She collaborates with Erdi on the project’s A-side, offering her instantly recognizable vocals on I Can Find. A rich percussive groove sets the vibe, as Amega’s performance summons hopeful prose lush with light; a valiant tone to start the year. Melodic mastery by both artists, who come together for the first time in pristine fashion. 

Driftwood lifts the pace, shifting into dancefloor mode with a warm bassline and synthetic cuts entering the fore. Energy ebbs & flows on this heady hitter from Erdi, showcasing his immense range as a producer. Eastern instrumentals maintain an organic opulence, while the house kicks pause only momentarily to create a powerful rise. An essential tool for the selectors.

Closing out the project is Rainflow, a boastfully balanced groover for both mind & body. The underbelly is built upon an ominous low-end, maintaining a driven arrangement for the dancers. Immaculate instrumentalism rises to a higher plane, and a soft vocal cut exalts exhalation. A special cut from one of the best.

3rd Avenue is excited to welcome LIZA to the label with her captivating 4-track original EP "Fauna." This EP features the title track "Fauna," along with "It's About Time," "Kitsch," and "Things I've Never Done Before."

For the remix of "Kitsch," Scippo got invited, a DJ and producer originally from Rio Gallegos, Patagonia, Argentina, now based in Barcelona. Scippo has released music on prestigious labels such as Mango Alley, Sudbeat, Balance: The Soundgarden, Tale and Tone, Juicebox, and more.

Hailing from Bragado, Argentina, LIZA draws inspiration from her family's love of Jazz, Indie, 80s Alternative Rock, and New Age. Over the past six years, she has performed at renowned venues and festivals across Europe and South America, especially in Buenos Aires and Barcelona. She has held a residency at Radio Intense, an international Ukrainian radio station, and curated successful events in Barcelona, featuring local and national artists.

Currently, LIZA is affiliated with international deep house and melodic techno labels such as Seven Villas, 3rd Avenue, Natura Viva, The Purr, and Trndmsk. Her work has received support from notable figures like ANNA and Soundexile. She continues to release new tracks throughout the year, focusing on Melodic Techno, Indie Dance, and Electronica.

Born during a solar flare and raised on limited-run white labels, this is a musical project conceived somewhere between a broken Roland drum machine, reviving a lost album on a broken 2002 Macbook and a really intense conversation about the meaning of groove.
Our music is for people who’ve quit DJing at least twice but keep coming back because “the scene needs healing.” Think: Balearic lounge for astral projection. Disco, if it were curated by a sentient potted plant. Funk, but made entirely from field recordings of sandals on gravel. We emerged from the mist of a questionable sunrise set in 2009 (or maybe 2031—time is an illusion) with one goal: to make music that feels like a hug from a glitter-covered alien who once dated a member of Kruder & Dorfmeister.
We’ve had aliases. Too many. Some were successful. One was just a Wi-Fi password. This one, though...this is the one. It’s got layers. It’s cosmic. It’s nostalgic. It wears tinted glasses indoors and still buys the incredibly outdated musical format they call vinyl (or vinyls if you really want to piss the purists off). We like music that makes you dance, cry a little, then question your relationship with time. Funk? Essential. Melody? Always. Hand drums played by someone called “Moonrise Mike”? Whenever possible.
We don’t make music for sunrises and sunsets, we make music that thinks it is a sunrise but occasionally has an identity crisis and becomes a fog machine. In conclusion: yes, we take music seriously. But ourselves? Not so much. This is an ongoing experiment in sonic telepathy, ego death, and grooving responsibly. Join us. Or don’t. We’re honestly quite busy communicating with dolphins through MIDI.
