If it wasn't for his artist name i would barely be able to pronounce his surname! 

Janne Vouti-lainen aka VOUTI has been on our eyes for quite some time. This is mainly surprising as his project is only 12 months old! We first heard of him on My Techno Weighs A Ton with his chunky number Caliber 99. Not long after he sent us 'In Yo Face' which we put out on our Litterbox 06 Comp late last year. 

For a 20 year old guy who loves EDM as much as he does TECHNO, he certainly has very underground ideas to his records. His debut EP on Box of Cats is no different. Its cocky, its underground, its moody and its club ready.

Between the three tracks Cockyness, Wanna Go To Space and Happy Family you get a feel for what Vouti is all about. Dark snappy percussion, scary synths and cheeky vocals. Happy Family is a breathe of fresh air when it comes to club tracks, not following any trends but creating them.

Rising UK duo, Late Replies, make their debut on Leftwing : Kody’s Lost Records this month, with their ‘Encona’ EP. With past releases on labels including Resonance, Stereo Productions, Under No Illusion, Sola and Twisted Fusion, the dynamic duo have been causing quite a stir in the Tech House scene since they started out. Lead track, ‘Encona’ kicks things off with infectious vocal hooks, crisp organic percussion, skipping hats, a resonating b-line and rumbling low-end. ‘Brick Wall’ closes out the EP; combining rattling hi-hats, hip swinging claps, an infectious bassline, hypnotic vocals and energetic percussion coming into play; this is certainly an EP which will take you straight to the dancefloor!
