Since its inception in 2016, Cornucopia has been a musical project synonymous with creativity and depth. The name itself, rooted in ancient mythology, symbolizes abundance and prosperity. Today, it evokes the same spirit—a metaphorical horn overflowing with ideas and innovation. This ethos emerges in the latest release, the fifth offering from the new label run by Guy J.

The music is a testament to artistic richness and a celebration of sonic exploration. The release opens with Remember Me, a mellow yet groove -infused track tailormade for sunset moments by the sea. Built on hypnotic layers, it evolves into an atmospheric journey that blends joy, subtle ecstasy, and vibrant energy. In an age of musical hyperproduction, Remember Me is a reason alone to celebrate Cornucopia's return. Yet, it is only the beginning; the unexpected euphoria unfolds as the release progresses.

Seasoned partygoers often categorize tracks by their vibe —some are designed for the night, while others are for the early hours. The title track, Early Morning, is an ode to the latter, crafted to accompany the most dedicated dancers as they greet the dawn. Driven by uplifting arpeggios, the track radiates unfiltered positivity, eliciting smiles and a deep connection among those on the dance floor. The sixth release from the Early Morning, run by Guy J, seamlessly upholds the reputation for quality while enriching its catalog with another standout addition. This time, the spotlight falls on Cypherpunx, a UK-based production duo comprising Douglas Horner and Tim Belcher. Since 2019, Horner and Belcher have released on some of the most esteemed labels, yet this marks their first collaboration with Early Morning.

The lead track, Cyclone, is a masterclass in dancefloor energy, offering a meticulous blend of vintage influences and cutting-edge studio techniques. Its fluid, hypnotic arrangement weaves atmospheric textures, sci-fi-inspired effects, and ethereal vocal chants, resulting in an immersive sonic character. Psychedelic nuances elevate the composition, evoking a sense of transcendence while maintaining a crisp, modern production aesthetic.

Closing the release is a remix by Khen, a prominent figure in the electronic music scene whose work continues to gain industry acclaim. His reinterpretation of "Cyclone" preserves the essence of the original while introducing a unique perspective shaped by his signature sound. By juxtaposing primal tribal percussion with an intricate and cerebral approach to sound design, Khen highlights the emotional core of the melody, presenting it in a fresh and compelling light.

A pair of aces is ready to hit the dancefloors with another brilliant collaboration.

Known intimately for their solo careers, Quivver and Dave Seaman are UK house pioneers who forged their sound on the lush, fertile dance floors of the early '90s. Together, they've taken the world by storm with two incredible mixes for the highly regarded Balance Music imprint. Teaming up in late 2023 for 'Not This Time' on Poker Flat, they are now signed to some well respected labels, including Selador and Warung.

Concieved in the sunny Midlands town of Nuneaton early this year the aptly named 'Cowbells of Nuneaton' kicks off in fine fashion. Bouncy tribal beats, scratchy effects, and a liquid cool bassline give way to a funky cowbell hook and ethereal vocal adlibs. Squelchy acid at the drop hits like a nuclear strike.

'The Promise' takes things much deeper. Whispered voices and sparse tribal drums intensify with airy sonics and panned melodies that draw you in. Reserved and classically sounding, it's a warm, melancholy blanket of audio joy.

Premiere: Pole Folder, GMJ, Matter - Voyage Austral [All Day I Dream]

Chicola, a globally renowned DJ and music producer with a career spanning over two decades, has significantly shaped the underground dance music landscape. His alignment with Early Morning's artistic vision and Guy J's influence in the electronic music community is evident, culminating in his debut with a two -track release totaling 13 minutes and 13 seconds.

The opening track, Samerano, features a melancholy-evoking melody with a powerful emotional crescendo. The focus here lies not in raw intensity but in sophisticated, deep, and emotionally resonant energy, showcasing Chicola's mastery in every facet of the track.

The second track, Mr. Pong, maintains conceptual coherence while exploring darker, more ominous abstract tones. The middle section suddenly shifts with 8 -bit pinball machine sounds, creating a playful twist before the track drives toward its conclusion.

This release marks a milestone in Chicola's journey with Early Morning, reflecting his commitment to pushing boundaries within electronic music while honoring the label's distinctive artistic direction and Guy J's influential presence in the industry.

This exciting new platform will allow Guy to release not only his own critically lauded, sensual, hypnotic take on house music, deeply textured techno and wondrous ambient material, but also give him the freedom to sign and nurture new talent and hidden gems from established artists. 

Since Guy J’s work is always touched with a magic and emotion that few rival, this new project is a very exciting prospect indeed. Lost & Found will operate as a sub-label of Bedrock, John Digweed’s influential and long-established mothership, which will mean that there will be a wealth of experience and knowledge behind the scene
