Expressing himself through cinematic-noise, harmonised by dark drones and slo-mo rhythms.

Born in Munich and currently based in Thessaloniki, Whiplash is a young upcoming artist. She’s quickly become a resident DJ at OSM Tapes Event Series and the A&R for upcoming premieres and podcasts. Ever since early childhood she’s been keen to dig into as many facets of music as possible, eventually becoming a guitarist and a vocalist in polyphonic projects. In 2020 she decided to move her passion for the electronic music spectrum forward and start DJing. Her sound is a multi blended construction, heavily influenced by the early EBM and 80’s Post- Punk movement. She also likes to incorporate techno, dirty electro elements and Dark-Wave touches in her DJ sets, in order to create a rich, multidimensional soundscape.

Premiere: Urban Legend presenta su nuevo lanzamiento, un EP de cuatro pistas, bajo el nombre 'Muharib', que significa 'guerrera' en árabe. Este proyecto musical creado por el artista barcelonés Wará es un homenaje especial a la valentía y determinación de las mujeres del mundo árabe. Honra y celebra su capacidad para resistir la injusticia, abrazar su empoderamiento y su esencia femenina. A través de Muharib el artista explora y profundiza en los conceptos de fuerza y feminidad, tejiendo un homenaje sonoro en ellos. Cada tema del EP lleva el nombre de cuatro mujeres notables del mundo árabe, cuya dedicación y esfuerzos han logrado avances significativos en la lucha por los derechos de las mujeres: Durriya Shafik, Zaynab al-Ghazzali, Nawal el-Saadawi y Fatima Mernissi. Sus inspiradores legados se entrelazan con las melodías, dando vida al EP que rinde homenaje a su lucha incansable y su espíritu inquebrantable.

Premiere: Urban Legend presents their new release, a four-track EP, under the name 'Muharib', which means 'warrior' in Arabic. This musical project created by the Barcelona artist Wará is a special tribute to the bravery and determination of women in the Arab world. It honors and celebrates her ability to resist injustice, embrace her empowerment and her feminine essence. Through Muharib the artist explores and delves into the concepts of strength and femininity, weaving a sonic tribute into them. Each track on the EP is named after four notable women from the Arab world, whose dedication and efforts have made significant progress in the fight for women's rights: Durriya Shafik, Zaynab al-Ghazzali, Nawal el-Saadawi and Fatima Mernissi. Their inspiring legacies are intertwined with the melodies, giving life to the EP that pays tribute to their tireless fight and unbreakable spirit.
