Silent Warrior is an intense, deep and emotion-filled work dedicated to the memory of a beloved friend.A personal outburst that focuses on the hypnotic and triggering effect that music can have on each of us.Kicking off the A-side is Vortex, a haunting 3-minute introduction that leads the way to a darker path.Taking inspiration from the label's concept, with this track the French artist perfectly succeeds in translating the concept of a vortex - understood as something that pulls you in and evolves - into mesmerizing sounds.With its persistent kick and modular sounds, Silent Warrior stands out as the first “hard and raw” track of the release. An extra blast is given by one South America’s most influential techno artist, Adriana Lopez. With a punchy and persuasive remix of Silent Warrior, she closes the first part of an EP that is as intense as it is hypnotic.The B-side dwelles deeper but without sacrificing a persistent kick - at times even more pronounced - in typical Zadig style. Striking hi-hats and rustling sounds accompany us throughout the whole duration of Portal 38.Here we find another remix by Mod21, who takes Portal 38 and makes it a dystopic and intriguing track, marked by a percussive and constant stab.The outro on the other hand, represents a calm and deep exhale. An ethereal journey that fully contrasts the mood of the whole EP, a deep breath to get back in touch with ourselves and try to find the calm after the storm.

The 54th instalment in our FWP series arrives from Dublin based DJ and Producer, Mode_1. He has held residencies at Subject Dublin, District 8, Index and featured regularly at festivals such as Life Festival, Electric Picnic and Boxed Off. 

Having been resident at Subject for the past 6 years has seen him share the booth with some of the best in the industry, playing alongside the likes of  Ben Klock, Robert Hood, Dave Clarke and DVS1, even appearing on Ben Klocks infamous Photon event in Dublin.

At the start of 2018 he had one his tracks “OÍche” featured on Berghain resident Fiedel’s Double Mixpack EP named Appendix, which also had tracks  featured from Jay Clarke, Ron Albrecht, Noncompliant and Philippe Petit. 

In January 2019 he contributed his track “Twenty7”, alongside producers Tinfoil, Hybrasil and Moduse to commemorate the closure of the infamous District 8. 
March of that year saw the release of his debut E.P “Final Approach” on French label Knotweed. Later in the year his track “Return” featured on Fiedel’s new label Super Sound Tools. 

2020 has seen Mode_1 back on Knotweed with his EP “Mainframe”  and on Fiedel’s label FiedelTwo with ‘4x4 Series Pt1’ EP.  In May he was featured on Truncate’s ‘Missing’ remix compilation, which gained support from Rodhad, Slam and DVS1

July saw him release on esteemed label, Naked Lunch Records with his Pusher EP as well as his feature on the legendary Slam Radio.

"In ancient Rome, Consuls held two strategic roles: exercising authority over all the public affairs of the city and accompanying the legions in their military campaigns.
!Lykos Records gave this role to Artist Laertes, born Gianluca Meloni. Ambassador of sound of Rome, Laertes has been one of the pioneers of the deeptechno genre. After establishing in Italy as producer, live performer and mastering engineer, he exported his aesthetics all around the world.
Titanomachia is the title of Laertes‘ new work inspired by Hesiod‘s Theogony. The artist tells through aggressive and groovy sounds one of the bloodiest wars in Greek mythology, Zeus leading the Olympian gods versus Chronos and the Titans.
Chaos throws us into the swirl of battle. The repetitive sound of the synth bass sequence alludes to the sound of spears broken on shields, while pads and strings charge the entire track with tension.
The narration continues in a daring succession of loops and hypnotic rhythms, with the second track The Immortal. Strident bleeps and incessant percussions and rhythmic patterns characterize the progressive crescendo.
The description of the battle changes with Worg, who proposes his version of Chaos. The story of the battle is entrusted to the evolution of lashing metallic effects that recall the lightning of the father of all Gods. Psyk closes the chronicle of the epic battle with the adaptation of The Immortal. 
The kick recalls war drums that galvanize the troops on battlefields. The artist evokes the heroic spirit with powerful and thunderous sounds.
