I never remember to pencil it in - it's as if it never was.

The voice in my head, well it's wearing me down. 
Always reminding me time's running out
If I close up the curtains and block out the sounds
I will not miss a beat.

I'll live on the stage and sleep when I'm dead,
make love to the girls that eat lies they are fed
once they get to know me, they're gone like the day
so I'll keep myself concealed.

Sit me down the truth must come out now.

The method of madness is new and contrived,
traditions and formulas always survive,
the people still buy it, the rules haven't changed
so the price remains the same.

Four seasons later a marriage and child,
for a minute I was confused.

promotions and parties we pay off our debts.
