The second track on Morgan Huggins' debut EP 'Anzac Bridge Filter' is all in the name.

"This is the oldest song on the EP, and came after a long period of writer's block. I had just bought a mobile recorder and went for a walk through the park I grew up opposite as a kid (Callan park in Rozelle) and I had the time of my life recording everything and anything – from sticks to cars and planes. These were all sounds that I had heard thousands of times before, but by recording them myself I made them my own, and for the first time in what felt like an age I was inspired again. 

I distinctly remember listening back to a piano recording I had made earlier that day as I looked out over the bay and feeling a sense of intimate peace. I took a photo of the water and recorded the sound my camera made as it wound back the film, and rushed home to combine it all together. This was the first time I properly combined my own organic recordings with synthetic sounds, and it was an extremely important step for me.
