“Count on Me” is the first single from singer/songwriter James Paxton’s solo project Love, Pax. Paxton has regularly released music with his alt hip-hop groups Soundaze & Flamingo Dogs over the years and Love, Pax is an entirely new sound for him, branching into mellow and introspective guitar-driven folk songs inspired by artists like José Gonzalez, Iron & Wine, and Elliott Smith.  "Count On Me" was recorded and produced with Nikolas Thompson at Breathing Rhythm Studio in Norman, OK. The music video for “Count on Me” was directed by the incredible Greg Gorman and will be released via People Magazine exclusively on July 12th when the single drops. The video pays tribute to James’ late father, the remarkable Bill Paxton. Paxton is also a well-known actor having starred on USA Network's Eyewitness. He will next be seen in the summer blockbuster Twisters in July and starring in the upcoming indie western Last Train to Fortune opposite Malcolm McDowell.

'Save Me The Night' is the newest single from alternative electro-pop duo Flamingo Dogs. Dressed up in life-sized dog and flamingo costumes, and often mistaken for furries, “SMTN” is accompanied by a dreamy music video that tells the tale of how these two creatures came to meet and make music together. Made up of vocalist James Paxton (Love, Pax) & multi-instrumentalist composer JAREDCONNOR, the duo is stepping into a new direction sonically with this release, exploring electronic and synth pop driven soundscapes, a departure from their roots in alternative hip-hop.

Fronting two alternative hip hop and genre-blending bands called Flamingo Dogs & Soundaze as a lead vocalist, “Love, Pax” is the signature moniker through which James releases solo music. His sonic style ranges from softly whispered folk to alternative hip hop ballads and even into pop EDM and dance music, although upcoming releases will be largely centered on material in the folk-driven, singer/songwriter realm.
