Testing the boundaries of uniqueness, Lu’Ami mixes live vocalised loops with electronically produced sounds to create a bed of Icelandic pop, neo soul, electronica and jazz, overlaid with catchy pop melodies.
Able to silence a room with rich soulful tones, she has often been compared to artists such as Erykah Badu and Björk.

Lu’Ami has taken stage at festivals across country, including Shambala, The Great Escape and 2000 Trees. Internationally, Lu’Ami shared with audiences at Madame Claudes and Fete de la Musique, Berlin. Having performed live on BBC Radio 4, she was invited on tour with comedian Arthur Smith as his main support.

Released in April 2016, Lu’Ami used the idea of personal growth for her first full length E.P ‘Better’, incorporating her innovative and distinctive sound using the loop station. She independently built a collective of eco-creative people to launch the E.P., curating a sustainable fashion show and the intention to raise awareness of climate change. Lu’Ami raised £2,500 through Crowdfunding to put on a sold out show, with the ‘Better’ E.P. profits donated to Mental Health Foundation.

Lu’Ami’s second E.P. ‘Warriors’ has again been successfully funded by fans using Crowdfunding and is due for release March 2019. An exploration of self-empowerment, the making of this E.P. inspired ‘The Self-Empowerment Stories’, where Lu’Ami invited fans on social media to share honest and authentic personal experiences of empowered breakthroughs. The series demonstrated that this feeling, no matter how big or small, can be found in every day life and is attainable for everyone.

Lu’Ami is a continuously evolving artist that puts pure spirit, feeling and honesty at the helm of her work. Her influences and experiences are bound together in a way that is recognisable on both a musical and human level, yet somehow indefinable.
