By now we have become used to sudden changes of direction; but we’d already gathered his real intentions following the popular remix of “Lonely Stars In Open Skies” on All Day I Dream with which Luca jump started 2014.

Now OVO, the eagerly awaited new Luca Bacchetti EP, is here!

With this work on his ENDLESS imprint, Luca seems to be delineating a new soundscape, maintaining the psychedelia he introduced into his productions a few years ago; but now more synthetic and in some ways even minimalist.
In OVO we can find a brace of dancefloor tracks, No Gravity and The Space Between Us, that maintain and harness Luca's emotional and intricate atmospheres whilst also employing powerful sounds and elements that embrace the movement of the body. Mature, emotional Techno, where ethereal dream-like atmospheres find a singular expression and their own distinct identity. It is no coincidence that the whole EP was recorded entirely high up in the Tosco Emiliano Apennines: a place where, for Luca, Nature is the element that most influences this new aural pathway. As he himself states: “It’s this contrast between isolated lands and the chaos of the big city that produces this state of being: a new dialogue. They are two worlds which overlap within my soul: when I’m in New York I think of these mountains and when I’m here I think of the bustle of tour life .. but it’s up here that I find the seed, in this case OVO.”

The beautiful ambient masterpiece, OVO, was recorded in December 2013 and features Stefano Onorati, jazz musician and long time friend of Luca. The 15 minute opus was then finished in April 2014 and now sees its unveiling.

Yin and Yang (n.) - the concept of duality forming a whole. A fundamental premise in Chinese philosophy now transposed to the electronic dance industry through the creation of Proton "Editions". Through encyclopaedic knowledge of the 850+ strong Proton roster of labels Tripp Baronner has envisioned a new concept of the principle of seemingly polar opposites, coming together as interconnected and independent universal forces - life and death, the dark and the light: one complete entity.

From a passion for underground progressive house at opposite ends of the audio spectrum - the deep, shadowy atmospheres to the blissful, shimmering melodies, "Yin" and "Yang" were born in an effort to represent this phenomenon in musical form. Each release will provide a single remix of an existing Proton roster track for two inextricably linked labels in the form of a light (Yang) and dark (Yin) edition. Released on the same day, a strong contrast in styles will thus serve to complement each other and nourish the whole.

The beginning of 2017 sees the debut of Rowee in the electronic music scene as the new alias of prolific Italian DJ and producer Leonardo Gonnelli. Welcomed into the fold by Damian Lazarus on his Rebellion imprint, this first release features three tracks collaborating with esteemed artists Thomas Gandey, KnowKontrol and Simon Wish.         
 
Opening track Earth To You, was produced alongside award winning British electronic producer, live artist and vocalist Thomas Gandey, renowned for his work with David Byrne and Fatboy Slim. The track is delicately energetic in its groove, rolling through deep atmospheres and sensual vocals. Gandey has released on some of the hottest labels including Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Desolate plus collaborations with Radio Slave, which include the album project Matom on Carl Craig’s Planet E. 
 
Disguise pushes a more tech house sound, featuring vocalist Dwayzo Lawrence aka KnowKontrol who has appeared on labels such as Saved and Keinemusik. Rowee explains, “this is a song about deception and trust in a relationship, both parties know the other is lying but they pretend everything is ok. It’s an amazing vocal interpretation surrounded by analog synths.” 
 
The EP closes in a collaboration with Italian native, U.S based Simon Wish, whose productions can be found on labels like Cocoon, Traum and Sleep Is Commercial. It Shows You is a tightly constructed deep groover, packed full of energy with an acid bassline that makes this track another real weapon for the dancefloor.
                                       
Fresh from his release on Seth Troxler's Play it Say it imprint and nominated in the category of Best Track at Vicious Music Awards, Leonardo Gonnelli has demonstrated his exceptional talent as a DJ whilst playing at worldwide events such as the legendary Space Miami, Pacha Buenos Aires, BPM Mexico, Dockyard Festival (ADE) in Amsterdam and Sonar. 2017 marks the start of a new chapter as Rowee, promising a bright future of what is yet to come.

Teaming up with the Italian producer Rowee, also known as Leonardo Gonnelli, the pair share a release featuring two cuts of pure deep heat.

'La Terra' is a burner that chugs along via an urgent rhythm section, before introducing numerous curveball synths, arps, acidic squiggles and more.

'Rushing Through the Mind' sees Rowee take to the controls solo, and dives right into his signature deep, hypnotic grooves. Over 8 plus minutes this deep tech house bomb mutates and expands into a pure dancefloor moment.

Cacao release number eight sees the Central American rooted label invite Berliner Re.You up to the bat. The Moon Harbour and Kompakt alum presents two original pieces, enlisting fellow Techno and House craftsmen Doctor Dru and Tiefschwarz for remix duties.

First off Work It Now brings forth a dynamic melody, laying down a playful groove from the get go. A lush R&B vocal loop kicks in, adding extra oomph, on a backdrop of scintillating high hats.

Mlu combines tribal infused rhythms, perched on mesmerizing percussion with a subtle, minimalist bassline that aptly complements the arrangement.

Jeudi head honcho Doctor Dru takes on Work It Now, adding his own imprint to the already bumping track. The artist takes on an acid tinged interpretation, transforming it into a trippy, glitch-heavy adventure.
German pioneers Tiefschwarz sign another take on Work It Now, bringing their own flavour into the mix. An inherently dark and brooding atmosphere reigns, as the initial track morphs into a cavernous exploration, rounding up the release.
