Finally forcing myself to press upload on something. I've always found it difficult to put something up on Soundcloud as I've accumulated such a wide spectrum of sounds on my USB and never know where to start without a dance floor in front of me. Every time I go to record a mix, something completely different comes out.
 
This time I just decided to start slow and see where things took me. Went on a journey from 120 to 130+bpm, peaking with Pangaea's high-pressure "Fuzzy Logic" before coming back down again. The mix passes through everything from house, techno, trance and breaks with a constant rotation between atmospheric and groovy records.

I'm looking forward to following this up on a monthly basis with the same premise, sifting through my USB and seeing where the mix takes me.

Recorded this the day after the rave with PMAD, still pretty exhausted and barely unable to stand, but was itching to get some of the feels I had in me out on the decks.

Really happy to be getting the second one of these out, going to try put one of these longer journeys out there every few weeks.

After an impressive string of self-released music, NYC label Fortune Signal welcomes DJ Burrito Boy for his Doomsday Ravebot EP. Taking sonic inspiration from LA’s dusty warehouse parties and 90’s rave sounds, the EP includes five dancefloor-ready cuts full of 909 drums, quirky, cut up vocals, and infectious basslines. Tokyo’s Guchon, the Sabacan Records boss, comes through with a remix of “RAVEBOT 3000,” flipping it into a peak-time driver that rounds off the floor-filling release with flair.

Early supporters of the release include DJ Seinfeld - who highlighted “Hot Pink Stinger Missile” in his March appearance on The Lot Radio - Fatboy Slim, Skream, Alinka, Horse Meat Disco, and NIKS.
