First time Mettaway and first time playing "downtempo" at peak time. 108BPM all the way - What a ride! Never have I seen such energy on the dancefloor. And never have I heard my music on such a sound system... sheeeesh!

These 5 days of crafting, preparing, dancing, learning, laughing and of course playing for such amazing human beings were just pure balm for the soul.

Thank you so much Luc, Vivianne and Jonas for creating this space. Thanks to Sandy and Steffi for being such decoration master minds and giving everyone the opportunity to awaken their inner underwater child. Thanks to Dan and Mia for planning and managing the kitchen to fuel our engines. Thanks to 103BPM-Jonas for giving me the tip to turn off MasterTempo for extra bouncy pitching. I dialed in a 16 step sequence on my NLC Bindubba, made it a 32 step sequence working the direction inputs with clocked gates. The sequence is fed through Beers ADC into Beers Melakarta making it a sudo pitch quantizer. Pitch-CV is sent to Befaco Even VCO. Even VCO feeds into a modulated Erica Synths BBD Delay/Flanger and then into Erica Synths Polivoks filter. Melakarta's gate outs are fed through Beers Edge Detector, into Sin Phi Miasma (envelope generator) to open the Polivoks filter, at the same time the other Miasma channel is feeding a ducking envelope closing the filter with every kick drum hit. A copy of this voice is fed into XAOC Sarajewo BBD delay. Aside from this last module, all other modules used are self-built DIY versions.

🌾 SESSION XVIII — CHALGA OF THE CARPATHIANS  

Enter the mist-wrapped mountain passes of the Balkans. “Chalga of the Carpathians” weaves hypnotic non-lexical chants, polyphonic vocal trills, and breath-punctuated harmonies into a forest-born ritual. Gadulka drones, kaval flourishes, and tapan drum rhythms echo through the Carpathian dusk, accompanied by goatskin frame drum taps, swirling Şalgam reeds, and pine-shaded field recordings.

This session honors the ecstatic tradition of mountain song—from Bulgarian village calls to Romanian forest hymns. It’s a trance of stone and smoke, echo and breath.

The next drink in our glass is served to you by the marvelous Armenian musician Moon’s Voyager. His tracks, in which he gives oriental harmonies a danceable character, deal with the diversity of life in all its manifestations.

The first track on the EP is called "The Blue Shoeshiner" and the outstanding piano melody takes us back to a time when saloons and juke boxes still where a big thing. The two remixes by Samaha and MONKYMAN take up the basic idea of the track and give it their own flavor in a unique way.

The second track with the title "The Bride’s of Moks", tells the story of an ancient Armenian province in all its beauty and grace. Modern electronic revisions were contributed by nutia and Antaares.

As usual we want to thank all artists involved, as well as Kilian Van De Water for the outstanding artwork and Haunted Water for the flawless mastering.
