Nicole has returned to Drumcode all guns blazing with her new ‘Bittersweet EP’. The A- side ‘I Know Where I’ve Been’, is a deep rolling techno machine that uses a constant building percussion loop that eventually explodes into some serious funky signature Moudaber techno! ‘Bittersweet’ is a techno belter that uses a hypnotic synth rhythm that will take the listener into another world. The repetitive claps induce a flurry of energy and excitement whilst supported by the crisp highs.

Don’t get misled by that scary number 13 here. It’s just a number. Let us just focus on the amazing tracks of this edition of our infamous Terminal series. Koen Groeneveld is kicking off once again with a banging Techno gem that reminds us of his 2008 no.1 hit “Wake Turbulence“. Big percussive lead sounds and enormous atmospheric FX-es are dominating this instant dancefloor killer. The second track “Katniss” is a collab between Koen and a mysterious female newcomer by the name of JELA. A raw big room tune with a strong German feel to it. Back to the rave era of the early 90s it is with the last banger on this compilation: KG is an alter ego of Koen Groeneveld and when operating under this moniker Koen occasionally likes to take things back to the oldschool. This one sounds like it was made more than 20 years ago but will do the job today for sure when dropped to the right crowd.

Beyer's new track "You're the Same" is six-and-a-half minutes of moody tones set to a slightly laid-back aesthetic. "I wanted to create a deep heavy ‘after hour-ish’ kind of tune but still with the Beyer weight to it," says Beyer. "Something I would play in the beginning of a night or when playing more deep...It's got a big fat vocoder in it which absolutely love; there should be more vocoders in dance music!"

Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. M_Rec Ltd continues to ascend as one of the the most interesting labels in the techno scene. Today's release sees Giorgio Gigli (Prologue Music, Zooloft, Electric Deluxe, Elettronica Romana, etc.) sign two original tracks and a remix of one of the most important artists of the past few years: Terence Fixmer (Electric Deluxe, Prologue Music, etc.). Together, their approach creates something special and unique. In its original track Giorgio Gigli delivers the best of its hypnotic and psychedelic techno. A great atmosphere, where the ambient pads meet the dark bass sound which made Giorgio one of the most significant artists in the new techno scene. The side closes with an ambient session; a drone of pure electronic,dark synth, making the idea of the state of mind of his own individual unconscious.Terence Fixmer's version is decidedly more rough, stripped of certain atmospheres, highlighting a more hypnotic and repetitive attitude. This rough sounds have for many years marked Terence Fixmer as an icon of the techno world. 
This is a great release of modern techno!
