From the composer: "This Is Growth" is my imagination of the transition from life to whatever lies beyond. The piece begins with a mournful, intimate tone, capturing the weight of saying goodbye to a loved one. As it progresses, thick strings, pipe organ, and woodwinds swirl together, building into an epic crescendo that seeks to evoke the unimaginable: that moment of awe in transcendence itself. I hope it helps us embrace the mystery of life as passing onward rather than simply passing away.
