The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nicolas Rada for his third appearance. Upon beginning his career in 2007, Nicolas quickly became a favourite of Hernan Cattaneo where his original productions and private remixes become a staple in the sets of the storied DJ. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist eventually found a home on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Eelke Kleijn’s Days Like Nights where his groovy progressive sound has flourished. 2017 proved to be a breakout year, highlighted by his first remix collaboration with Nick Warren, where the duo reworked Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ to both critical and commercial success. Now frequent studio partners, Nicolas and Nick have continued to build a strong studio synergy showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint while also recording a string of impressive remixes for Get Physical, Monday Social Music, Proton Music and Timeless Moment. On the solo front, Nicolas has also continued to prosper with an appearance on Patrice Buamel’s GU Berlin compilation, along with original projects for Sudbeat Music and TRYBESof. Having first appeared on our free download series with his hugely sought-after remake of Bjork’s ‘Mutual Core’ in 2019 and then again in 2020 with an equally large rendition of Underworld’s ‘Cowgirl’, we’re happy to welcome Nicolas back with a huge interpretation of the Depeche Mode classic ‘Precious’. Initially remixed by progressive house icons Sasha and Spooky in 2005, Nicolas now brings a new perspective to the track which has been championed by John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. After months of requests from electronic music fans we’re now happy to offer it as an exclusive free download. Enjoy!

The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas for their first appearance. Needing little introduction and simply known as the maestro, Hernan Cattaneo is one of the world’s most beloved DJs and his Sudbeat Music imprint is widely regarded as one of the best in its field. With a career that spans over three decades, Hernan Cattaneo has recorded eleven albums, thirty singles and fifty remixes, all while touring the world delighting passionate music lovers with his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills.

Meanwhile, Australian artist Jamie Stevens has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his three-decade long career. As one of his country’s most talented and sought-after artists, Jamie has proven his skill in professional sound design, film scores and contemporary electronic music. Prolific and consistent in equal measure, Jamie has enjoyed a creative swell in recent years, landing releases via Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream, John Digweed’s Bedrock Records and Guy J’s Lost & Found.

The third member of the trio is American artist, DJ and promoter Anton Tumas. With a career that spans well over a decade, the Los Angeles resident has left an inevitable mark on the underground scene through his Subtract On The Pier residency and burgeoning Subtract Music imprint.

Last year the trio combined their extensive forces and took to reworking Pink Floyd's ‘Breathe (In the Air)’. Released in 1973 as part of the band’s iconic ‘The Darkside of the Moon’ album, the much lauded song remains as one of the group’s most revered and recognized creations. After several live airings by Hernan Cattaneo, perhaps most notably at BNP Open Life, the trio’s take on the iconic song has been shrouded in mystery, with fans hypothesizing who reworked the track in such grand fashion. Now, fifty years to the day after the original release of the song, we are pleased to offer Hernan Cattaneo, Jamie Stevens and Anton Tumas’ rendition as an exclusive free download. Enjoy.

As frequent studio partners since remixing Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ in 2017, Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have become one of the progressive scene’s most beloved production teams. The duo have built a strong synergy over what has been a six-year creative swell, showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint, while also recording a string of impressive remixes for DAYS like NIGHTS, Get Physical, Proton Music and many more trendsetting imprints. Always looking for new avenues to test their creative chops, the duo took to re-imagining Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’ earlier this year. Released in 1987 as part of the band’s ‘Music for the Masses’, an album widely regarded to encompass the best styles from both ‘Black Celebration’ and ‘Violator’, ‘The Things You Said’ has stood the test of time and remains a high point on the seminal and much loved long-player. Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have combined their extensive forces once again, knocking out a near nine-minute epic rendition which has not only been a staple in Nick’s recent sets, but also finds the duo landing more additive ever. Lucas has received support from industry icons such as Hernán Cattáneo, John Digweed, and Mariano Mellino.

He has performed at venues like Crobar Club, Futura Boiler Club, DvnePark, Bahrein, Shamrock, Niceto Club, and more. His sets have also taken him beyond Buenos Aires, with performances in Córdoba, Junín, Chacabuco, and internationally in Lima, Peru.

Throughout his career, he has shared booth with artists like Undercatt, Mayro, Armina (UKR), Matias Chilano, Em Boss, MINÄ, Fran Garay, and Juan Manuel Ugaz (PER), among others.
