2021 and another year done… omicron surging through my veins as i write this. Man, every year we ask the team to send us their tracks at Halloween and every year we’re chopping and changing moments before launch. But that’s how it’s gotta be and that’s what’s so vital about this series, now in its 12th year. This never gets more relaxed. We should probably be spending this time of year chilling out and reflecting on what’s coming over the horizon but vinyl lead times already got us making records for July. It’s like the digital and the physical world are pulling further and further apart.

We hope you love this compilation as much as we do. Thanks to the artists and everyone involved in getting this together. Special shout out to Scott Pilgrim, Leo Martin, Issac Larose and Emmanuel Mauriès-Rinfret for their images and code. Cameron Morse, Abdullah Al Wali, Albert Carter Philips and Jennifer Metcalf. We don’t shout out the team at the label enough.

Following the hyper saturated electronic ode to Destiny’s Child ‘Rain’ and the most recent audio-visual offering ‘A YELLOW FLOWER', ‘FOREVER’ is the third single taken from @howe1’s forthcoming 'Forever' EP on February 23 via @higglers.

A film school graduate, electronic musician and visual artist from London, his love of cinema and visual art has formed the DNA for his love of music. First bursting onto the scene in 2020 with his debut 'Fallen' EP, since then HOWE has continued to make waves in the underground electronic scene. A highly accomplished artist who has worked with GAIKA and GLOR1A to name a few, he has also made several large scale interactive audio-visual art installations for music festivals & gallery spaces and composed scores for art installations and videos. With further friends in the right places, recently his work has caught the attention of object blue who featured him on her Rinse show and Lauren Duffus on NTS.

Run by Jay Heston & Kai Doggett, Higglers explores deep into sonic scape, sound design and electronic dance bracket territory. Focusing mainly on club driven music, Higglers aim to push the boundaries of conventional dance and electronic music cultures. Aiming to stray away from conventional Electronic music of recent, Higglers apply an A&R-less approach to releases, aiming to give each release artist total artistic freedom to explore any which way they wish to express and present their art.
