Since emerging in 2003, UK man Claro Intelecto has pursued the deeper side of techno, and now makes his Delsin debut with a 3 track EP entitled Second Blood, which precedes the release of his full length album on the same label in march 2012.

With a discography which includes a number of 12”s, EPs and full lengths on labels like Boomkat's own Modern Love as well as Ai Records and others, Manchester man Mark Stewart is known for dropping bomb after bomb, with these new efforts being no different. 

First up, the title track 'Second Blood' is a lazy, scuffed and romantic sounding deep dub cut that lurches from one beat to the next with a lazy smile and soft eyes. Plenty of echo and reverb have it drifting off into the distance as warm pads and rising strings add subtle tension.

Another lazy roller but this time with brighter melodic flashes, next effort 'Heart' is just as lateral, dubwise and soothing as the title track, melting your mind into a dreamy state of hypnosis before b2 'Voyeurism' lifts you out of your trance with a firmer kick drum, more cutting claps and groove that bounces a little more than it rolls. Some taught acid notes appear eventually, rounding off a cerebral, dead of night EP made as much for home listening as it is gentle Sunday afternoon comedowns. Essential stuff.

Stellate 1 marks the start of the Stellate Series: sounds gathered from the experimental frontiers and outer edges of electronic music. For every Stellate release four producers have each created two tracks. The eight resulting tracks highlight four unique minds and the disparate sounds that gravitate together at the periphery. SASTE001 brings together the visions of Lucy, Borful Tang, Perc and Kevin Gorman: yet as diverse as the forms and textures that they use are, something intangible provides a sense of unity. Stellate 1 taps into the place where electronic music-making began. Es ist mal wieder so weit. Zum ersten mal in diesem Jahr und erstmals seit Chris Liebing´s unvergesslicher Geburtstagsparty im vergangenen Dezember, kommt CLR für ein weiteres Heimspiel in den Cocoon Club / Frankfurt. Chris Liebing, der gerade auf dem Time Warp Festival in Mannheim gefeiert wurde, wird dieses mal die gesamte Nacht lang im Main Room des Clubs spielen.

Mit dabei sind ausserdem unser Spezialgast Juan Pablo Pfirter, eine wahre Techno-Ikone im heimischen Argentinien und zur Zeit einer der gefragtesten Südamerika-Importe; Tommy Four Seven und Brian Sanhaji (live), zwei Künstler die durch viele unvergessliche Gigs und ihre jeweiligen Debüt-Alben auf CLR für Aufsehen gesorgt haben; Monoloc, von dem wir in Kürze sein Debüt-Album auf CLR erwarten dürfen; DJ Emerson, der sich unter anderem durch seine umtriebige und erstklassige DJ- und Produktions-Tätigkeit einen klangvollen Namen in der heutigen Techno Szene gemacht hat, sowie Cocoon Club Resident Peter Eilmes, der uns dort schon bei den vergangenen CLR Events mit seinem eleganten Stil erfreut hat.

Viel mehr muss man zu diesem Event wohl auch gar nicht sagen, da sich die Kombination von richtungsweisendem Techno aus dem Hause CLR in einem der besten Clubs weit und breit schon mehrfach als Erfolgsrezept bewiesen hat. Was wir Euch versprechen können, ist eine weitere, denkwürdige Techno-Nacht mit einigen der aktuellen und zukünftigen Größen des Genres, ganz viel Spaß und ganz viel Bass! For our new CLR release two artists from the CLR family went on individual missions to remix the MOTOR track "Hyper Lust" (feat. Billie Ray Martin) taken from the recently released and critically acclaimed album 'Man Made Machine'. The first is Monoloc, a very talented DJ and Producer who is currently finishing his debut album for the upcoming release on CLR. The other is Juan Pablo Pfirter, an internationally respected Techno ambassador from Buenos Aires who has been working with the label for years. Each one of them has taken this honorable task as serious as anyone could imagine, and each one of them has created a unique, exiting and dignified remix of the original track.

Monoloc’s take is a rather slow half-beat approach with a thick and well-defined bass, chopped up vocals and innovative effects. It shows much of his characteristic trademark style and has a simultaneously pleasant and slightly alarming vibe. Pfirter delivers the straight forward, yet atmospheric and groovy Techno mix of this EP, and just like Monoloc, he does it with excellence. The choice of sounds, the highly creative programming and the quality of the mix are simply faultless.

The album release of 'Man Made Machine' has crowned the launch of CLR’s new sub-label CLRX, and like the recently released remixes of the title track by Radio Slave, Black Asteroid, Chris Liebing and Luke Slater’s Planetary Assault Systems, this brand new release also pays massive respect to the work of this pioneering Techno duo by the name of MOTOR.

Gathering sounds from the experimental frontiers and outer edges of electronic music, Stellate 3 collects together Kangding Ray, NSI, Xhin and Reformed Faction’s visions. The polished tracks are layered to the -nth degree, filled with minute details and whispered asides. These productions use an array of analogue machines and the most cunning digital means to vividly render disquieting questions.
Kangding Ray - fresh from releasing his chapter of the Monad Series - opens Stellate 3 with ‘Antar’. The atmosphere is loaded; it pulls you back and makes you slow down in order to listen with your every fibre. Built around a cyclical structure, it sways slowly, moving in a way that borders something mystical. Kangding Ray seems to tap into liminal spaces, those places where comparisons fall short and adjectives fail. Despite the slow pace and languid mood, ‘Antar’ is underpinned by an urgency that spills over into ‘Telur’. Constructed with both a different pace and with an angular architectural structure ‘Telur’ is an unsettling landscape of strange glitches and noises.
NSI’s ‘Unexpected’ and ‘Unsettling’ further this pondering, questioning mood. ‘Unexpected’ bursts into being; it’s a seven minute odyssey which seems to have departed from a 1960s space station. Littered with the surprises of the track’s namesake, perhaps the biggest of all is that such an optimistic portrayal of the future seems to be hallmarked by the past. ‘Undeserved’ is rung-in by far-off bells which signal the beginning of a synthesised Mass. Punctuated with mutated percussion, altered piano sounds and a litany of noises, the construction that emerges is a confounding and quite brilliant.
When Xhin lays down ‘Them’, he pushes the pronoun until it embodies the idea the unknown. It’s a track with a warped atmosphere where something’s most definitely awry. It’s a vinyl you’d be tempted to play backwards. Just to be sure. ‘As It Unfolds’ counterpoints this and is a wistful, ecstatically melancholy piano composition. It charts sadness as viewed from a later point in time. It’s a reflection on the process of understanding, on sifting though yesterday with a sense of collected calm.
Reformed Faction close Stellate 3 with two tracks that are a testament to their prolific analogue experiments.
There is an unmistakable curiosity at play on ‘Hollerei LX’, which vividly soundtracks a film that has only even been seen in the mind’s eye. Almost as if Reformed Faction is somehow privy to the secrets that lie curled within undeveloped rolls of film, ‘Hollerei LX’ is a visual experiment expressed through sound. ‘Koaii Twin’ is just as synaesthetic, and listening brings forth a tattered stream of imagery, a barrage of half-made connections and things better left forgotten. ‘Koaii Twin’ is probably best listened to with the lights on.
The Stellate Series is boxed exquisitely in a round metallic tin which contains two clear 10” vinyls. Each vinyl is separated by a typographic print on recycled paper. The Stellate releases also contain a hand-numbered artwork inlay by Oblivious Artefacts. The entire artwork comprises of four parts which are divided between Stellate 1 through to Stellate 4. Additionally each release contains a unique card with a download code. Each Stellate release is a strictly limited edition of 300. 

The entire Stellate Series was craftily mastered in Berlin by Artefacts Mastering.

SA015 is a split vinyl taken care of by long term label artist, Pfirter, and by a new voice that's been adding to the SA story across the summer, Kangding Ray. Pfirter's 'Caos y Orden Superior' is a weighty odyssey spread across nine minutes. Its opening is languid but somehow relentless as strange synthesised sounds are interrupted by insistent beats. Across the arc of this track 'chaos' and 'order' lose their static definitions, and played over a large club rig this has the potential to throughly disorientate. From here Kangding Ray takes over duties with 'Wars', a fragmented meditation on the darkest side of human nature. Created from hues saturated by the pain of mistakes and regrets, it pulses, rocking gently, swooning in and out. This stunning slice of electronic music acts as a balm for the very wounds that conflict leaves behind.

SA015 was craftily mastered by Artefacts Mastering, Berlin.

Since then, it's moved across 4 different locations and remained open for business for an astonishing 16 years!

Lucy is the nom de techno of Italian-born and Berlin-based Luca Mortellaro, one of the genre’s most exciting and ambitious DJ/producers. Since 2009, Mortellaro has focused his work through his own Stroboscopic Artefacts label, building an imprint and personal discography that has established itself as one of techno’s finest.
Lucy (née Luca Mortellaro) is one of the pre-eminent sonic adventurers of his time. Not bound to conventional pre-conceptions of what an electronic musician, producer, or DJ must be, Lucy has evolved his distinct sound signature by reconciling the deeply personal with the esoteric, and by harmonizing the spheres of technology and biology. In doing so, he has become rare as an artist, in his ability to please an audience while also introducing them to elements they were not yet familiar with and thereby pushing them out of their comfort zone. Whether he is acting in the role of producer, DJ, performer, or Stroboscopic Artefacts’ curator, Lucy’s clear passion for creative evolution and mutation is something that continues to attract new listeners, and keeps giving his current supporters new reasons to continue tuning in.
