Luigi Madonna’s record label Contempo drops an EP by Marc Faengerthat’sraw and driving techno with trippyatmosphere.

Contempo is an uncompromising record label thatallows Luigi Madonna to show off the more underground side of his sound, and the new release is an imprintdebut from Marc Faengerwho’s a German artistthatearly in his career wassigned to Richie Hawtin’s record label M_NUS.

Marc Faenger’searlyminimal releases propelledhimonto the international stage, and opened the door for him to DJ at places like Fabric, Sisyphos, Fuse and more. In the following years Marc Faenger’s tracks gottougher and more aggressive, as he movedtowards up-tempo techno releases on labels suchasIllegal Alien Records and hisown Shed Skin.

“Opal” opens the release with retellingpercussionrhythms and a booming kick drumthatform a foundation for rolling industrial textures thatripple with modulation. “Triple Threat” is a percussive track with flowingpercussion and tense atmosphere and rumbling sub-bass. “Zinn” is a hypnotic track with buzzing synths and judderingpercussionthat’s heavy enough to make the walls shake. “Probe” closes out the release with brutalpercussion and gritty sound design that’sshrouded in trippyatmospherics.

Frankfurt born DJ & Producer Michael Klein extends his impressive slew of releases in 2023, dropping a fervent brace of tracks on Juliet Fox’s illustrious TREGAMBE imprint. 

The ‘In Meinen Träumen’ single heralds a new chapter for TREGAMBE as head honcho Juliet Fox opens the release schedule to other artists, after primarily being a vehicle for her own music since the label’s inception in 2020. And after a scintillating B2B set with Juliet and Michael in Berlin in the Summer of 2022, it’s especially poignant to welcome him to the label.

With recent releases for the likes of We Are The Brave, EI8HT, Mind Medizin and Virgo, as well as his own label BLK DRP, it’s safe to assume the talented producer has been busy curating some serious catalogue as he continues to raise the bar with each instalment.

On the ‘In Meinen Träumen’ single, Klein delivers two thunderous big room techno bangers, laced with the ferocity and energy that’s become expected of the German producer’s sonic arsenal.

 Zagrała rownież na dwóch edycjach Techno Lasu, Projekcie Maskarada, Great Boat Party, Wisłoujściu i wielu innych eventach. Na swoim koncie ma występy z takimi artystami jak Wehbba, Marco Ressman, Oxia, Simina Grigoriu, Layton Giordani, Sam Paganini, SHDW & Obscure Shape Dr. Motte, Eli Brown, Sama’ Abdulhadi i wieloma znakomitymi polskimi wyjadaczami.

In the space between house’s slow, seductive sway and techno’s dark, mischievous pulse, LUIGI shapes a sound of his own. At 23, the Amsterdam based DJ and producer is one of the few upcoming talents to champion niches like 2000s progressive house and italo-disco.

Though making different genres work together lies at the heart of his musical approach, his sound can be summed up in four words: squelchy, groovy, deep, and dreamy. Thanks to a childhood as a drummer, the Maltese born artist understands rhythm like its his mothertongue, claiming to have got most of his inspiration from music legends such as Mr. G, Bushwacka! and Lil' Louis.
