Beth Baker. Beth was one of the loveliest souls I was privileged to call a dear friend. I met her through my wife's work. Later as a result of my emigration to the 'New World' we lost out on each other's company, but we stayed in touch and visited her and her husband as often as we could. Recently she was hospitalised, needed surgery which was unsuccessful, and she died in the hospital. She was only 71. Because of the pandemic restrictions travel to her funeral was out of the question. So here is my heartfelt tribute to this soul we loved for over 35 years.
