The weirdo underground live-house duo that is SHOUSE often invite local singers and musicians to collaborate when bunkered down in their Collingwood studio. New release “Love Tonight” is an amalgamation of this working environment, whilst being a cheeky parody and adorable homage to the classic ’80’s celebrity extravaganza that was Bandaid “We Are The World”. Assembling a choir of all the people that they have loved and admired in their local scene (Oscar Key Sung, Monte Morgan (Client Liaison), Bec from The Harpoons, HABITS, Pillow Pro and so many more!), Ed and Jack have delivered the type of number that champions unity and a shared sense of eternal wonder for the future! 

For remixes we have Mike Simonetti (Horse Meat Disco) delivering a dark acid heavy late night techno jam, DJ Seinfeld who eschews the hook altogether for a fun lo-fi belter, and Australian newcomers The Nights with a lusciously pulsating melodic mover. Theres also an exceptional Acapella mix with plenty of dance saxophone!

The warmth delivered on this song is arguably tangible! Showing a shared sense of compassion and a display of strength.

Superheroes Anonymous 9: Survival

So stoked to share our newest Superheroes Anonymous mix with everybody! We’re feeling inspired with everything that’s happening in the bass community lately, and we wanted to put together a new mix with a ton of stuff we’ve been feeling and working on. We loaded up some tracks that inspire us, tracks that make us rage, some new music we’ve been working on (some bangers and some sweet baby making music), and some from homies that we both look up to, and who are going to be the next superstars.

Sit down or stand, we don’t really care. Just crank your speakers and blast this crazy mamajama for your neighbours but also your dog; they’re definitely going to love this.

I just want to clear stuff up that I know that there are some tracks missing that he played. Only reason why they are missing is because those tracks haven't been released to the public yet. So to make things flow I added 1 or 2 tracks in that sounded really close to the ones he played. WITH THAT SAID. I will be updating this till every ID track is set in its place. Go ahead and compare this to the video that was recorded, its pretty damn near perfect. Again I will be keep updating this file when more of the ID tracks come out!!

This was made from the BETA Video Andy N. took. Long story short I gathered all the tracks up that I could, I think only missed 3-4 tracks. In the long run I Iistened to video and took the tracks and mixed them to how it was in the video. So in the end  this is EXCTLY HOW ILLENIUM PLAYED IT AT BETA.

Superheroes Anonymous 10: Death Or Glory

Released on Slater’s iconic ‘Freek Funk’ album on NovaMute - one of the most seminal techno albums of the 90s - ‘Love’ finally gets the remix treatment it deserves more than two decades after its initial release.

Marcel Dettmann provides two takes on Love, his ‘City’ remix features a cacophony of metallic rhythm, ebbing pads and plenty of swing whilst mantra-like vocals operate throughout, followed by the thudding ‘Black Glove’ remix with its murky tones and rattling effects.

After initially debuting on our Dirtybird BBQ comp a couple years ago with the fan
favorite, “Sausages”, the super-talented DJ E-Clyps returns to the label with his EP,
“Blackbird”, featuring “Scooty Woop” and “Coffee Break”.
With a long history of music making across all genres, including a stint as an in-house
beatmaker for one of hip hop’s iconic mega-producers, several tours as Gucci Mane’s
live DJ, and a long list of dance music hits on the biggest labels around, it was only a
matter of time before we’d see his versatility on display at Dirtybird.
