Two established artists who have broken the mould within their respective scenes come together on DFTD for the understated club cut ‘Starlightway’. Since his Defected debut ten years ago, Flashmob has turned his signature sound - digital music with an analogue twist - into a brand, creating an eponymous label and radio show in addition to building an impressive discography. As for Josh Butler, a string of Defected releases turned the North England musician from in-demand producer to contemporary house mainstay, releasing on Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels and Kaoz Theory since. Together the pair unveil ‘Starlightway’, a dancefloor ready single that shows the two artists’ signature styles; Flashmob’s energetic simplicity collides with Butler’s cool atmospheric touch.

Trilucid teamed up with Brett Gould to release The Purpose in August 2025 — a progressive house bomb dropped via the peerless Global Underground. The track picked up support from a wide range of tastemakers including Guy J, Sven Väth, Quivver, Paul Thomas, Sister Bliss, Nick Muir, Braxton and many more.
Following the original release, Trilucid returned to the project with a darker, more underground interpretation. The result is The Purpose (Drum Dub), a moody, rolling, techno-infused rework featuring huge Zimmer-inspired stabs in the breakdown, providing a distinctive and cinematic take that pushes the track into deeper territory.

if you ever asked about me recently, i would answer like this i guess. 
the last couple of weeks were just work, booze, hangovers, and all that follows. Ive spent a couple of days/weeks on my own, until stupid in the morning, just listening. total opposite of me, since april, mind you. 
depending on how i feel, Out of about +- 5000 tracks, i am always able to, somehow, create this bubble that surrounds me, supports me, feeds me, heals me, calms me down, helps when in doubt, makes me happy, gives me power, gives me love.

i fucking love music, and thats it. i might be whoever you think i am, the way you see me, on the outside (which is probably right), but music is what/who I am inside.  this is me. without me trying to explain anything.

havent touched my decks in about a year. not bothered with transitions, wasnt even able to see straight. just wanted to share  with some.
