Asymmetrical - Overwhelmed [Fill-Lex Records // FLR-05 / FLCS-18]

This new edition to celebrate the five years of Fill-Lex Records comes with a double edition, it will be the fifth vinyl of the label and its 18th reference on cassette. This time we have Asymmetrical (Giovanni Inglese) owner of our idolized label Raw Culture. An edition that in its vinyl format will have remixes of Sam de la Rosa and Anna Funk Damage, and for the cassette version will be added the remixes of SOJ and Lex-Or.

A concept album that does not leave behind its track-focused side. In its side A we find visceral songs, with broken rhythms, and forceful percussions, with a spectacular treatment of distorted voices, full of strength and power.

On the B side of the album we enter tracks more focused on the dance floor, with that punk attitude, which makes you immerse yourself in their decadent melodies,

Dr. Bird es uno de los Djs más activos de la escena sevillana y lo es por méritos propios. Cuesta describir a Djs de este calado que se sienten cómodos ante tantos estilos como abarca su colección de discos. En sus sesiones puedes descubrir House, Disco, Breaks, Funk o Electro de altos vuelos y todo siempre con altas dosis de Groove. Enamorado del vinilo y de los 7” en particular, donde aprovecha para soltar esas rarezas retro que tanto le gustan.

Dr. Bird forma parte del colectivo El Soberao con el organizan mercadillos donde artistas locales o no venden su arte mientras suena musicón pero también montan buenos saraos en diferentes salas de Sevilla, todo movido por su amor al arte en diferentes expresiones y usando la música como conector.

Niteffect has made a concept album for us, dedicated to Man's Best Friend and our puppy Dalmata Daniel couldn't be more honoured!

This album is Niteffect's debut on our label, but we are not talking about a rookie producer, because he has been releasing music since 2007 mostly on Hamburg-based Kreislauf. His music is mainly characterized by strong emotional melodies, deep basses mixing with downtempo, trip-hop, idm, and deep house sound elements.

Man's Best Friend is an electro-oriented album, sometimes with breaks or other broken beats sound, but the most common that all the tracks have deep emotional synth waves. Niteffect playfully uses these to create melancholic and more upbeat moods, creating a varied but coherent whole, perfectly capturing the changing experiences of a summer vibe.

MM PREMIERES are meant to transcend the ordinary and immerse themselves in the sacred realm of music, beholding the unseen and embracing the new melodic tapestry even before it unveils itself to the world.

Martin Rev's musical odyssey commenced with a foray into free jazz, eventually leading him towards the magnetic allure of electronic production, where he ingeniously interwove rock'n'roll elements to create electrifying sounds with minimal equipment. This transformation not only profoundly impacted Suicide's musical trajectory but also paved the way for an enthralling solo career for Rev. 

"The Sum of Our Wounds" meticulously curates recordings from 1973 to 1985, offering a fresh lens through which to appreciate familiar compositions, revealing their delicate and vulnerable essence, akin to a collection of emotional wounds. Rev's enduring captivation with these recordings signifies an unending desire to revisit and expand upon ideas conceived decades ago, illustrating the perpetual evolution of his musical ingenuity. These recordings serve as snapshots of an ongoing creative journey, allowing us to sit beside Martin Rev at the tape deck, immersed in the sounds of an ever-restless city.

MM PREMIERE 013 | Martin Rev - Skateboard [Bureau B]

We are delighted to announce the release of the third EP in our digital series. This time around, we present an intriguing EP from @Roxane-Barrow, a new duo based in the South of France formed by MP-57 and Roxane in October 2023. Their project is refreshingly simple: utilizing a drum machines, analog synthesizers, effects, and a microphone without the aid of a computer. The tracks are spontaneously composed live in a single take.

Titled "Grand Hôtel," this 5-track EP is particularly captivating because the tracks have not been edited using a computer—only raw jam takes. Roxane's voice, ranging from chanting to melancholic melodic passages, guides you through the entire EP, while MP-57 skillfully works with the machines, approaching them with the enthusiasm of a child and the precision of a skilled surgeon. Embark on this musical journey and savour the unfiltered experience. The EP is set to be released on December 27, 2023.
