Dawn Diaries is inspired by the belief that the best way to start every day is with a celebration of the sun that shines through the darkness, our bodies that feel the warmth and the music that moves us. How we wake sets the tone for our day and how we live each day sets the tone for our lives.

To start our days in celebration with music and dancing has the power to transform us, unlocking the ever-present freedom, love and happiness that can easily be muted by our daily routine. My hope is that Dawn Diaries can be a part of this transformation.

Dawn Diaries are mini-mixes that go great with coffee, morning showers and getting ready for work. Solo or group dancing, bouncing, singing and smiling are all highly encouraged.

Dusty Rhino 33 - DJ Dan came out and rocked the Rhino for our joint Dusty Rhino/Opulent Temple party we hosted Tuesday evening of the Burn this year.  It was an eerie night out in the middle of the playa as the dust storm rolled in.  Dan appeared from nowhere and stepped up and rocked this great, rocking and somewhat old school set.  Great preview to our Afterburn party at Public Works we are hosting in October 17....DJ Dan will be coming to rock it again for us...

Beyond Tulum is inspired by my adventures in the jungles of Tulum, Mexico. I recorded sounds of the jungle and layered it sporadically throughout the set. There were different versions of how this podcast was going to manifest itself, but eventually I settle with sounds of the land and its people.  Thank you to David and Jilly for allowing us to be apart of their nuptials.  This was a truly mind altering experience. My sets often reflect my own unique thoughts and feelings and gave the listener a deeper look into who i am and what moves me. Rolandson, a self-described “child of the Baltic Sea” whose roots lie in Sweden/Uppsala and Rostock, currently lives in a quiet city called Halle an der Saale. The amiable 38-year old’s heart beats for so many beautiful things he has discovered in his travels that he sees himself as a traveller who “transforms his thoughts and feelings into pictures, and transforms those pictures into mixtapes”. His sets often reflect his own unique thoughts and feelings and give the listener a deeper look into who he is and what moves him. To quote a wise man: “It is the work of he whose intention was not to impress, but to be true, that will persist.” (Jean Cocteau)

Rolandson has been playing music for 20 years now and has been enchanting his listeners with unbelievable sets that he often gets lost in himself.
His sound transcends the boundaries of genre or style - a characteristic that applies to him not only musically but also personally: he avoids clichés and instead strives for originality and musical diversity.

When he’s not behind the decks, he’s the driving force behind his netlabel and podcast series “Seasidetrip”, which he started in 2012 after recording a mix at sea. Since the first Seasidetrip mix, many artists have have interpreted their love and longing for the sea in their own mixes, contributing to the growth of this wonderful project which has not only touched the hearts of its listeners, but also led to many friendships and inspiring collaborations with other artists along the way.

Rolandson invites you to join him in making the world a bit more colourful, a bit more diverse and saturated with unique music.

Burning Man 2016 (classic rock & 80's remix / house)

This set was recorded live on the Disco Space Shuttle with an incredible trumpet player by the name of Pablo (Paul Theodore Chandler). We were engulfed by a massive dust storm for the first couple hours of this set but it didn't slow us down. We kept the vibe going until the skies cleared and provide a beautiful view of the Man burning. 

The final hour of the set was a 2x2 tag team session with Lushbunny while we drove around the Playa looking for trouble. 

Big shoutout to the Disco Space Shuttle crew for sharing their vibe, sound and love with all of us on Burn Night.
