Glowing Spirit #30 - Dark Divine Feminine

Brazen

They say you never go back to the same place. I say you also never return to the same song. And if you do, you end up finding another shadow among jasmine. That’s what happens in Espiral: it starts in a garden where memory trips over your name and ends with an invisible embrace that leaves you shaking, both warm and cold at the same time.

There’s a place in Entre tus sombras y jazmín where everything is shy and sweet: time falls like dry leaves on an old tablecloth, the sun hides behind your eyes, and me, not sure if I’m singing or whispering, I keep my name safe in your garden. And there I stay, because leaving would mean getting lost.

Then, in Te hablé en silencio, one realizes talking doesn’t help. Better to whisper, stay in the mist, and make yourself invisible so you get seen anyway. It’s a cheap magic trick: being flower, seed, and spring without anyone noticing. Sad part: the other side has forgotten; beautiful part: you still wait, because waiting is what you do, even if it hurts, even if it’s ridiculous.

Next comes Lo que elegí, which has nothing heroic about it: walking through a desert is boring, dirty, and slow, and the stones don’t applaud. One wonders if someone is watching from afar —sure they are— and if they’re throwing shadows at you. Doesn’t matter. What matters is knowing that time drags everything, even your dumbest decisions, and that you leave traces without asking permission.

Then the coyote appears in Danza del coyote, a lovable son of a gun: breaks the order, makes you laugh, screams, and makes you realize that peace isn’t sleeping, it’s dancing over embers without burning too badly. A blind master of ceremonies: breaks you, rebuilds you, and makes you sing with throat and heart, even if you don’t know what you’re saying.

Then comes Lógica de Sol, and logic doesn’t matter. The sun doesn’t charge, doesn’t demand, doesn’t lie. You sing, you dance, you burn fears and applaud the tenderness whispering everywhere. No altars, no dictators; just a little light scratching your back, telling you everything’s fine, even if it’s not.

La Bicicleta, the bycicle: when you don’t know if you’re coming or going, but you pedal, and the world spins with you. Your body moves, wind slaps your face, and suddenly everything seems simple. Simple and extraordinary, like life itself.

Círculo Polar is the ending that feels like a beginning: cold, crystalline, icy blue. The soul purifies, sees its reflection in the ice. Contemplation calms the tremors, and the mind plunges into the quiet that precedes the end of the cycle.

Finally, Abrazo, the instrumental, closes the journey with a silent gesture: an embrace containing everything lived. No words, just resonance. Everything condenses here: memory, pain, light, shadow. The spiral closes, yet keeps spinning, because experiencing time is infinite.

In the end, Espiral isn’t an album. It’s a diary of inner adventures where you laugh, fall, get up, and ask yourself why the hell we keep listening to songs that make us tremble while time keeps falling like dry leaves.

Through out his career, he has steadily carved out a reputation for himself as one of dance music's most innovative and respected producers and DJs. As a DJ he has performed all over the world at some of the best clubs including Ministry of Sound, Space and Pacha, and has played underground clubs and festivals all over the world from Australia, Europe, Asia,  North and South America.

The club music and djing being his main focus, he has also as a producer and songwriter been very successful in the world of pop music, co written Kylie Minogue’s hit song "The One" featured on her album “X”. This album was nominated at the 51st annual US Grammy Awards for Best Electronic/Dance Album. “X” was also nominated for a BRIT Award for Best International Album, and to date has sold over 3 million copies. In 2012 he composed music for the para Olympics opening ceremony in London and music for 2 Dermablend/Loreál commercial wish reached over 100 million views on youtube, got awarded with the prestige of 2 silver lion´s awards at the Cannes festival.

2017/18 John released a is handfull of releases for Hot Since 82 Knee Deep label, various collabs with Mark Fanciulli with releases on Joris Voorns Rejected/Green Records, release on the much loved Berlin club Watergate 22 album with Catz n Dog. Nic Fanciulli´s Saved Records, Co-write and Produced and mixed the Wolf and Moon album ”Before It Gets Dark” wish was feat on a ”Game of Thrones” advert. The Exploited Records release ” Zoo Brazil - Complicated” wish the vinyl sold out in a week and was played various times on BBC/Radio1.

2018/19 also did see the light of the Zoo Brazil album ”Point Of View” wish includes remixes from Ramon Tapia, Monkey Safari, Alos the year for the Underground club hit ”Sand” wish was essential tune on Pete Tongs/BBC Radio 1 Show.

Releases on Booka Shades Bluefield label, Sven Väth´s Cocoon. Monaberry and many more.

“Music is food for your soul’ is a punchline regularly crossing Sylvie’s mind, and her soul is hungry. Leading a modern day nomad life, electronic music has faithfully followed her as it allows her to express her emotions and ever sparks her creativity. 
That creativity has produced a fashion label named “Lounge Lover” which Sylvie established in 2003 in London. But fashion was not enough for the girl, and she pursued to practice her other passions at a pro level. After personal training and nutrition, music was next on the list. 
Sylvie’s musical story begins growing up in the lowlands of Flanders, where the Sound of Belgium set the foundations for her future musical preferences. Regular visits to the isle of Ibiza added the Balearic state of mind to her musical spectrum, meaning that no sound will pass without a positive and happy flavour to it. 
To share the ‘good vibes’ sound she pursues, Sylvetje has a residency at Nobu Berkeley and Shoreditch as well as Blakes Hotel in London, and played in places as E&O, Playa, Hovarda, Leicester Square Kitchen etc... 
As for the style of music she drops, one could call it melodic deep house techno... but then again, what’s in a name...

For this hybrid live set I have a very special sound journey filmed at sunset by a lake here in Sweden. A very special place I wanted to share with you all. The set was broadcasted at the Burning Man VR Multiverse and on the SIMS music platform.
I integrate elements from my sound meditation project Sonic Enchantment and merge them with my catchy down tempo vibes.
The set will begin as a sound journey guiding you into relaxation and altered states of consciousness with the use of binaural beats and amplified naturally occurring frequencies. During the first part of the experience you will find space to close your eyes if you wish, and tune in deeper. The journey will then evolve into ethereal shamanic rhythms and slowly bring you into the realm of down tempo beats and enticingly deep grooves.
For the closing, the journey briefly brings us back into a grounded and relaxed place.
