statement from 2019 release:

by no means was this release for "clout" or for profit and the ones close to me know that's been my narrative ever since i had the opportunity of making this track, a former artist who has been a close friend of my older brother's obtained the verse from SoWhatimDead back in late 2016/early 2017. after coming together as a group in the summer of 2017 i was given the opportunity to produce around the vocals that were bought. as a fan of peeps i've been so excited for this moment the minute this song turned into a reality. after making 5+ different beats and hundreds of alternate versions for the span of over a year i finally created this finished product. that's when i found out the vocals were used before, the original owner SoWhatImDead had a version with his vocals on but soon took his song down to resell and continue to resell the vocals of peeps strictly to profit. an artist by the name of Blayne B also purchased the vocals from him but after a mix up the vocals fell into the hands of Dax, who then stole the verse and uploaded a song without any permissions. after working for so long to find out the truth of the vocals has been terrible but i've finally decided to release it after over a year of simply sitting on a hard drive. i've now seen people use these Lil Peep vocals for money, and for "clout" and i know my true intentions as i spent countless hours on this song was for the fans and only for the fans. i realized despite the foul play that has been associated with the vocals, there is no use of letting the late Gustav Åhr's music be unheard. thank you so much for reading this and listening, if you have any questions just reply to this or dm me on instagram:)
