Pulling inspiration from underground, queer DIY culture and radical melanated creatives, BYZARRA pays it forward by prioritizing safe and accessible spaces for often overlooked queer black and brown partygoers.

"I often lean into digging for deep, hypnotic, and euphoric sounds to convey whatever headspace I’m in, for this particular mix, I wanted to aim for something more gritty, bordering on sinister, but still sexy—drenched in familiar acid, bass, and heavy percussion. I wanted to curate something that would ensure the listener would leave the dance floor soaked in sweat but satisfied."

This mix represents an exploration of tracks that mirror my emotional struggle with societal expectations, particularly the challenges faced by more marginalized groups in these dark times of late capitalism, rising fascism, and oppressive regimes worldwide. As a queer and neurodivergent individual, I often find myself at odds with the norms of a heteronormative, capitalist society, and I have no intention of conforming. TINFA artists and collectives provide me with hope for a brighter future, one founded on acceptance and love. I hold a deep admiration for the courage of the artists whose tracks are featured in this mix.

The future is nonbinary! Team antifa stands strong. We dance together, we fight together.
