“This Is Not What We Came For” was born from a need to bring two worlds together; the energy of UK bass, jungle, and breakbeat, with the emotion and melody of indie. It was a personal challenge as a producer: can I create something that works just as well in a club as it does live on stage? Jungle and post-punk move around the same tempo, yet come from completely different places; that tension was exactly what I wanted to explore. Did it work? No idea. But it felt like the right moment to share this track.
